I am farming a raid but my right button of my mouse doesn’t work so well, so, i am having problems to leave the instance and i was wondering i i can make one of those macros to do it with another button faster
I just stole this one from reddit does it work?
/script C_PartyInfo.LeaveParty()
looks very promising, thanks, now the problem is i don’t have idea how these things work, but i only need to watch a video about macros and sure i will try it, thanks
And what is so hard about clicking on your name plate and use the leave party/dungeon/battleground there …that is so hard to use?
Don’t you have to right click to bring up those options?
OP said their right mouse button doesn’t work.
oh no, it is not about being hard, it is more like complicated since my mouse isn’t working really well, also, since i am farming old raids have a tool that help me to make it faster, saves me time, which is really helpul if you do it very often :3
I’ll admit I am a little confused with this here… the macro is not a bad idea BUT, are you farming the raid solo or with an alt/friend?
If you are farming solo you still have to go through the process of making a group in the group finder, listing it then leaving the group and waiting for the 1min timer to leave…
If farming with an alt/friend you have to form and leave the group each time and still wait for the 1min timer–either scenario a macro vs right click portrait is not saving you very much time when factoring in the teleport timer.
shrugs maybe I am just overthinking this whole thing
ETA: Not at home to test this, but is this something the Left Click to Interact option would work with as well?
Doesn’t seem worth picking apart, tbh. If the OP’s mouse is busted and his right click isn’t working, then for any situation in which he’d have to leave a group, that macro will be helpful. From his random heroics to his M+ dungeons, it’ll be helpful no matter the situation. Right mouse buttons being busted sucks.
Replace the switch in the right mouse button. That should fix it.
not 100% sure but I think /leavegroup works. I also have a broken mouse, but it’s my left that’s broken lol
Mine decided to start giving me trouble last night, right in the middle of a dragon race in outland! Not the ideal time. Mice just do not last long these days.
In my case I love my World of Warcraft legendary mouse. It was made back in Cata days. I bought like 5 of 'em. On my last one. It’s always the left and right clicks that break. I can’t buy them anymore so I hanging on as long as I can.
You can look into replacing the button switches. You can find tutorials on YouTube. Depending on the model, you may have to bring a soldering iron.
Can’t you get a mouse for like $5?
If you can, it will probably break after a month or so. A good mouse, especially one with useful gaming/MMORPG features, will cost significantly more.
Hope you at least invest in a new mouse, they cheap these days
wow, thank you all for your answers
one of the reasons why i need leave group so often is because i am farming the old raids content, the LFR, those raids that you can enter by talking to an npc, also really good for transmog
and it may sound silly at first but sometimes it took me like three times to leave a raid since the button doesn’t work, so, the macro is really helpful
it actually works if someone wanted to try it :3
I’d just buy a cheapo until you can get a decent one. Hang on to it for a backup. It’s irritating not having the features of a good mouse, but better than fighting a broken one.
You dont read the details do ya?
Then instead of a new macro, maybe a new mouse?
Upgrades are nice! Check out the Logitech G604.
