With all the people quitting there needs to be some way for them to connect up with someone still playing on their server to give their stuff to. If you’re quitting leave a note here and someone from your server will come here to ask if they can have your stuff.
I personally won’t ask or accept any quitters stuff. I’m just doing this as a public service to help out.

I’d say stand in the city and yell for people’s stuff, but if they quit that wont work lol
Most of the people against this change are telling us they do more than 30 instances a day because they’re helping people. For Free!! They’re quitting because they can’t help anymore. This is gonna be a hugely popular thread because these people are helpers. I’m sure they’re gonna want to help as they quit by giving their stuff away.

anybody quitting should give their stuff to the guild they are in or friend/friends.
why would they give it to some rando?

There’s no reason to give your work away because it’ll be useful once crusade/wrath come. This isn’t a private server with no future where everything goes up in smoke once you quit. Here, you know there’s a future with expansions, so it would be wise to keep it all.
So people that did 30+ instances and farmed them are considered bad for economy but yet same people will beg to have their stuff/gold…

I think you’re having some trouble understanding what people mean when they post, “Can I have your stuff?” This might help.

You’re still not getting it. That’s something totally different.
I hope you enjoyed this Fun With Vocabulary with Rotsta

What about “Can I has your stuff?” I see that more often than “Can I have your stuff?”
Is there a subtle nuance between these two statements?

Hello, you fine rogue, you! If I ever decide to quit the game, permanently, you can have my stuff!
I vote all the stuff goes to Glinda. Wherever she may have disappeared to.

yea, you must believe in santa clause too…
Hey guys, I’m currently signed up in the “receive free gear from quitters” column right now, hoping to get matched up with a quitter from Benediction-Horde. I know there are a lot of mages out there really unhappy they can only sell 30ZG boosts instead of 50 now so I’m really excited to find one of these helpers that will make my classic experience so much better!
I hope they weren’t just lying or raging on the forums though…

Come on dude, don’t be so cynical. This is the internet. You can trust what people post on the forums because no one ever lies on the internet.
When I quit playing on a particular realm and delete all my chars knowing I’ll never reroll there, I prefer to use a /who and pick someone who is actively online leveling, maybe in their later 30s so they’ll be trying to buy a mount soon, and just randomly mail them the gold with a note.
Quitter etiquette should require quitters to go on Trade, announce they’re quitting, and let people meet them at the bank to get free stuff.
Over on Bloodsail Buccaneers server, hordeside, a friend of mine made a google spreadsheet that he lists gear on and shares the link on Trade chat. I got in the habit of dumping all my greens on him cod for vendor cost. He says he sells the greens for vendor cost himself, and that gets people in the door to see the rare and epic stuff he actually makes gold on. I know we can’t name names here, but if you see a Tauren with Weapon Merchant guild name using bad cow puns about the udderly ridicowless deals he has, that’s probably him. Doesn’t need me advertising.
