Probably a dumb question, but can you forego the starter quests for your race and do those of another race (when you create a character from level 1) instead? I created a tauren druid, but I want to level with my friend who’ll be a BE paladin. I didn’t do any of the tauren starting quests and instead went to Sunstrider Isle, but I can’t see the starter quests in that zone. I see the NPCs, but they offer no quests.
Is this possible to do? Is it because I’m Neutral rep with Silvermoon City that I can’t see the quests? If my friend starts a BE and we use the Party Sync feature, will I be able to see the BE starter quests? Thanks!
You won’t be able to do the quests on Sunstrider Isle (only blood elves can do those), but once you get to level 5 you should be able to join your friend in Eversong Woods & do the quests there. So head back to Mulgore & get to level 5, then join your friend in the Ruins of Silvermoon.
Thanks for the answer! That’s really unfortunate. With all the effort Blizzard has put into making the game more friendly for those who want to play together, this is a baffling oversight.
The Blood Elf starter zones are some of the oldest content in the game, along with the Draenei starter zones and Outlands. They haven’t really been modified much (if at all) since they were released over 13 years ago. So it’s not surprising that they have a few things that feel outdated now.
