Can I Delete a Professsion

How do I delete my profession. So I can get back to skinning, I wan to delete cooking or archaeology.

There is a little circle with a line through it when you bring up your professions tab - next to each of your primary professions. Click on that and it will ask if you’re sure.

OP mentioned Cooking or Archaeology, though.

Secondary professions cannot be unlearned, and Secondary Profession slots cannot be occupied by Primary Professions.

OP, if you want to go back to Skinning, you’ll need to delete another Primary Profession if you have two (following Grumbles’ instructions).

Yes I see that, but I want to keep my primary, but delete the secondary one , fishing , cooking etc

Doh, I missed that part. I need more caffeine.

You can only have two primary professions - the secondary ones like cooking, fishing, archeology don’t take up one of those so there is no way to delete them. You don’t have to level them though.

yea, I thought so. But now I want skinning and I can not get it…

Sure you can. You just have to dump another Primary Profession if you already have two (Skinning pairs with Leatherworking well), or create another character to take Skinning so that you can provide your Leatherworkers with materials.

Just to add on to what was already said…

Primary professions are Skinning, Mining, Herbalism, Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Tailoring, Leatherworking, Jewlcrafting, inscriptions, and engineering.

You can have any combination of those two professions. You can delete any of those and replace any of them with another if you choose not to like them.

Can’t be done. You want a different primary profession you must give up one of the two you already have.

I needed to know this as I chose the wrong profession on the Island!

There are no wrong professions… they all suck.
