Can I change to a European Server from US?

Due to me moving 4 times zones away last week and now working a night shift, their raiding schedules align with me perfectly now and I want more than 1 guild to choose from.

Anyway to switch Countries?

You’d probably have to make a new account. I doubt you could move your current account over.

No, they won’t transfer across regions.

Get a US account and close the other one.

Wait, what? I am in the US and want to start one on London times at night. Any way to do that?

well that depends… where you live what time is it in london? like what is the hourly difference compared to where you live in the US compared to london?

i.e are they 1>2>3 maybe 4 hours ahead of your local time zone or is it the other way around and you’re ahead of said london time zone ?

Sorry, I mean get an EU account and close the US account. You can’t play on EU servers with a US account.

Ahh ok… can I transfer a toon from one region account to another region account?

No, you can’t transfer toons / mounts / pets or any of that stuff.

also you can infact have a US account and a EU/UK one you will jsut have to make a new account maybe… i know asmongold has 2 accounts one us and on on EU

Yeah, you can pay for multiple accounts if you wish to.

Blizzard Global Play allows you to connect to game servers in regions outside your own, making it easy to play with your friends in other parts of the world. Global Play is available for all our games except for World of Warcraft.

And a blue response to the question:

Yes. All you have to do is register a new World of Warcraft account for the region that you want to play in. You can do that on your current Blizzard account (Battle.net account), as it can hold up to 8 different World of Warcraft accounts (licenses).

You can add a starter account for your region of choice here: https://account.blizzard.com/games (scroll down to the Starter Editions section, and select the region after clicking on Create Starter Account).

If you want to upgrade (add the current expansion) or add gametime, you can do so through the US region shop .

AHh… but no way of keeping all my achievements, mounts and such. Need to start from scratch. Ouch… that seems like it should be able to work much easier. Wonder why they dont want that.

looking at battle net the only thing you can do on a US account is change your prefered language,…looking like you’re gonna need to make another account on EU OP…

I will be honest I don’t really know the legal reasoning:

its probably because its technically a brand new account even tho its underyour name… i have a 2nd account on US realms under teh same B.net tag but achieves dont share from main account… so id suspect it would work the same… same account different region and servers so it wont transfer over anything

Nope. I also wish they had that option as I’m now living in Sweden. You’ll need to buy a new account, new xpac, and start over.

According to Blizzard Support:

If you have WoW accounts in two regions, you cannot transfer a characters between them

So it appears that yes, you can link an EU account to your US region account but you will have to start from scratch, as if you were starting the game as a new player.

I know at least for going to Chinese versions and vice versa, it’s straight up a different game, so probably isn’t technically possible (i.e. all the bread-undead lol) EU transfers would seem easier, but not sure.

Considering Blizzard can’t even implement the metric system for the EU (or the rest of the world), it’s no surprise they can’t manage account transfers. Using the imperial system it’s no wonder they can’t balance the game correctly.
