So I just want to go to the auction house click a thing hit buy and buy one item. I don’t want to change the number unless I need more than one. Is that a thing I can set up?
Yes, you just by one of what you want.
I have to wonder if you are being serious, because the AH system is set to default to 1. You can only buy more than one by resetting the number. So…are you confused, or am I?

Well no. Everytime I go to buy if I click buy it buys the entire stack. It doesn’t buy just one.
Edit: Maybe I’m using the auction house wrong? Let’s say I want Tidespray Linen. I click on the item on the right and then click buy. It buys the whole stack but I only want to buy one. Is there a way I can not buy the whole stack?
You type in Tidespray, it gives you a list of all items matching that, you click on the SPECIFIC item in the center list. It then brings up buying options, from there is another central box that lets you enter a number and it calculates how much it costs for that amount.
Ohh…I see what I was doing wrong. I was clicking the list box on the right side after selecting the item. I’m guessing the box on the right is a “stack box”? I thought I had to click on that first before I can just click buy cause I thought I had to choose the stack I wanted to buy from. So do I not buy from a stack I want I just auto buy the cheapest?
Well kind of, it’s all available at that price if you click on the right. So people who want it all at that price, perhaps to resell, can purchase it all quickly.
That’s not true, if you click it in the list then it will buy all of them at that price, could be thousands or pretty often 10k+ on one of the good realms.
OP: You have to refrain from clicking the item in the list if you want to purchase just 1. It already has it as just 1 by default if you click nothing, so leave it that way and you’ll buy just 1.

yeah…dont click on anything on the right side over there.
Just let it default to 1 like it does and purchase. Ifyou click on the ‘stacks’ on the right it’ll buy that stack as priced.
