Can Heigan safe spot be fixed?

They only “Know” a thing is done a certain way, and don’t actually UNDERSTAND why its done a certain way and how the game changes dynamically based on your raid teams comp.

As such the zug zug mentality of gamers permits some really stupid crap.

YAS! Thanks!

The fact bosses have mechanics but you can outperform the content so heavily that the boss never even gets a chance to do those mechanics is fun. It’s sort of a “holy crap, we destroyed that boss so fast” sort of rush.

And honestly, if it’s on a timer and not percentage HP-based, it’s asking to be bypassed by competent and geared players, with increasingly more players meeting that threshold as time goes on. The statistics you cited earlier prove that not everyone starts in that position, either. You have to work your way up to it.

Feeling stronger as you continue playing is core to MMOs.

And to all the folks that think retail is different… you don’t actually do mythic content on retail, do you? Sure, there’s some mechanics that you can’t just zug through, but there’s plenty that you can, and some mechanics are zug-zug mechanics: just pure DPS checks.

In Classic that might mean stacking Warriors, world buffing, etc. In Retail that might mean stacking whatever class is currently imbalanced and having everyone use whatever covenant is letting you bypass certain mechanics.

It’s not specific to Classic. It’s not a retail mentality. It’s just modern gaming.

Imagine arguing data presented to you without providing any of your own.

Thank you for this.

I believe it’s a real bug from WotLK Naxx, because I know it existed for that content. Which then raises some eyebrows about about how our Classic Naxx was constructed.

I feel like that would get very boring to me fast.

Retail is tuned around people doing this. In fact when people do successfully ignore important mythic mechanics by dps early on they generally hotfix the encounter to make this not possible.

Classic is not tuned around this.

Kel’Thuzad’s ability usage is fairly clearly the WOTLK one and not the classic one, having done both.

But Blizzard insists it’s working properly so whatever.

For sure, which is why I find it kind of funny that people think it’s any different. People do the same thing. This isn’t a behavior that has developed to suit the content; the content has been developed to suit the behavior.

There are other obvious retail ques in other mechanics in game, it does bring into question the quality of the alleged testing between the fabled reference client and “classic wow”

It’s for this reason I would like to see a REAL TBC server started up and for it to use the ORIGINAL 2.4.3 client with content gating and raid and dungeon tuning in a schedule that mimick the real thing.

Not because of distrust for the Classic Team, I’m actually kinda ok with them, but because I feel they sorely lack the resources to give us what we actually want under a retail client package.

Fact is, there are things that just don’t quite work as I remember, and when I run the original client on a private server for testing use, it becomes very evident to me that the original client plays how I remember and this retail based thing is close but not close enough.

It was literally hotfixed within the first reset

Yup, dont worry about Dook, he is just yet another sweaty sperg that runs full consums, full WBs and the guild probably runs 69 warriors.

Your idea of what constitutes fun is what makes MMO communities so toxic.

You should never be able to outperform the content on day 1.

and yet here we are, outperforming the content on day 1. fun or no fun, its possible and to some people its fun, to others it makes them slam their head on their table over and over again until they get brain damage and come to the classic forums to post

id rather they fix the double eruption bug than this. fix bugs that make the encounter harder before you fix ones that are cheesie.

Oof

Such bad advice here. Still an exploit of game mechanics and can be actioned would not listen to this at all.

“Toxic.” LOL

How?

The sad reality is some players are better than others. Unless you design content for the absolute best players in the world, the content will be outperformed by some on day 1.

And trust me, the last thing you want to do if you dislike the “toxic” community is make all the min/maxing mandatory by making the content so difficult you can’t succeed without it.

You mean like retail raids?

By minmaxing all the fun out of the game and inevitably forcing this culture even on players who don’t want to adhere to it.
