Yes def let us know im curious too one of things im gonna work on.
Following up on this, as of the most recent beta update (10.0.2.46092) you can get the quest âYour Time Has Comeâ From the Firelands, officially starting the legendary questline to receive Dragonwrath, on the new Evoker class.
As of this update and per my previous post, you can now also Transmog the staff on the Evoker.
Thanks for the the info!
So I tried this out on live, could get the initial starting quest from the molten lord, but "a legendary engagement isnât popping up after so no idea what to do here
They can transmog into it. Checked on my Evoker just before. So I can say yes they should be able to. As only classes that can obtain it can mog into it.
Thunderfury isnât restricted by class directly though. Any class can âget itâ but can only be equipped (thus getting the mog) by classes that can use 1 hand swords. My shaman has both halfs from MC but I didnât progress on it since shamans canât use 1 hand swords.
Only Shadowmourne, Dragonwrath, Fangs of the Father and The Warglaives of Azzerioth are âclass restrictedâ. And even then the latter is only moggable for DHâs once you get an achievement. Since Blizzard donât want warriors, rogues, monks and DKâs having nice things. Even though we can equip the actual weapons.
For example, Warriors can mog our 2 handers into staffs but we canât use the Dragonwrath appearance though.
Evoker can transmog the staff (Iâm using it right now) but they CANNOT get it themselves - likely a bug though. I went into the Firelands and was able to pick up the starting quest, but after turning it in to Coridormi she did not give the follow up quest
Still pointless because weapons dont show in dragon formâŠbut thats a good thing because weapons would look bad in that form anyway. I guess if you like visage youâll see it?
Actually you can press Z to unsheath your weapon while in dracthyr form
you clearly dont know how this game works if you think wowhead is the arbitor in this situation.
(shadowlands taught me new words!!)
You clearly donât know how the forums work if you think quoting a post from a month ago is a good way to reply.
If you took 5 seconds to click the link in my post, youâd see Evoker is on the item now and that you proved my point.
Fair call ill cop that!
If only worgens had this option and look like real werewolvesâŠnot werewolves with staffs and swords in weird stances.
So, ye Evoker is on the item in WoW Head, butâŠ
I went to Firelands on my Evoker, killed the initial mob, got the quest to see Coridormi, but did not get the follow up quest.
I went to the internets and found out I had to complete one of the other Cataclysm raids first. I went for Blackwing Decent, got the Achievement, but not the follow up quest.
I hopped on my Warlock, went to Firelands, killed the same mob, got the same quest, went to talk to Coridormi and got the follow up quest.
So maybe Evokers are not able to start the quest just yet on live, I did make a ticket about this, and will post again once I hear from a GM.
I am also having the same issue. As you can imagine, this is a little embarrassing for me >_>;
They can mog it but no, they canât do the quest so they canât turn into a blue dragon.
Itâs not pointless for those that want to turn into a dragon.
+1 on this! Iâm currently using Vial of the Sands for RP reasons, but would love to actually have Dragonswrath!
About a day later, I decided to check in with Coridormi again, and there it was, the quest to get the staff. So itâs confirmed, Dracthyr can get the staff!
I would rather be able to fly as a Dracthyr than have to constantly switch weapons just to fly as a dragon.
Yes! I didnât even realize I was on the quest for it, but my evoker is on it now as of April 2024.
