Obviously we aren’t gonna do that. We live here.
But hypothetically, can we?
In Legion we got the Scepter of Sargeras, a weapon capable of destroying the world by opening portals and destroying the fabric of spacetime.
And in Dragonflight we learned how to use open the same portals without the Scepter.
So, are we capable of Outlanding planets now? 
I think like any other weapon in the game, it could have all the power in the universe, but if you’re not powerful enough to channel it then it’s not dangerous. As player characters, we are essentially avatars and not supremely powered beings. I mean, priests can levitate, but they can’t yank the sword out of the planet. An evoker can disintegrate things, but they can’t take out an entire city. Probably just a power level thing. Even Gul’dan who had the biggest sip of green Kool-Aid in history, still eventually got wiped off the map by something bigger.
They are OP.
If fear doesn’t have diminishing returns on a planet it’s a done deal for sure.

There’s some indication in the lore that Outland was critically damaged in some way (perhaps its world soul died?) and that Ner’zhul just finished it off, so to speak.
But also, no, Demo warlocks can barely destroy a warrior, let alone the planet.

Nah. Destroying an entire planet takes McGuffin levels of power.
You may have the techniques to do it if you had enough juice, but Outland was a confluence of artifacts, desperation, and disaster that can’t be casually replicated.
The Scepter alone isnt able to destroy a planet. Ner’zhul used it along with the eye of dalaran and something else i forget to open portals for the horde to go throgh and conquer worlds but he opened far too many and it shattered draenor. It was an accident.
But anyway long story short, no.
Also I see mention of draenor’s world soul maybe dying. Draenor has no world soul. Not all planets have world souls.
Sounds like warlocks need to be nerfed!
The Book of Medivh was the other artifact. The warlock PC actually recovers it and the Orb of Dalaran as part of the Legion artifact quest line to get the Scepter.
That’s right. I remember now that you refreshed my memory. How could I forget considering I have seven warlocks
