Can Demon Hunters read?

I know Demon Hunters see through magical eyesockets, but do they see like Daredevil or do their magic fire eyes just work like eyes

Demon Hunter’s eyes are one of those vague magical items in lore that really is left to your interpretation. You can have them “see” however you’d like.

We are given some good detail in the Illidan novel on how that Demon Hunter character experiences them. At first he see’s vibrant lines and pulses of energy all around him. His clarity of sight develops until eventually (iirc) he’s able to see something akin to normal sight so it’s plausible he could read a book. Where your character is concerned however, it’s all a matter of how you want to interpret the bits of information we’re given… and imo how much you’re willing to play with the gray that’s left.

My own Demon Hunter see’s something akin to Daredevil, in a 360 degree fashion, though it’s through interpretation of the ebb and flow of the magical energies around her. Her other senses are also heightened, but for me that’s more due to her overall transformation and not due to her loss of natural sight. She can also use magic to further sharpen those senses, but back to her sight… She can focus on a thing or area and pick out subtle differences, for instance between ink and paper. So conceptually she could still read a book or a sign post. She can tell one color from another, though again her experience with them is vastly different from ours.

How would you prefer Adrietheta to “see”? What appeals to you?

One of the Demon Hunters in Azuna is part of the Legion inscription quest line… given that, I would assume they have the ability to read & write from an in game lore perspective… unless they are teaching some sort of braille that you use ink and pigment for.

Well, I have been writing her as a mute who communicates through written notes and doodles when she’s bored. I’ve just been thinking about getting her involved in more public RP and I was kinda worried people would write her off. No pun intended.
