Can BoneSHIELD give block?

Not even a coincidence the two best tanks in the game right now are ones that have shields and can block melee hits with reliable values (paladins spell block is another rabbit hole).

Time to give boneshield an actual block value to help with the overwhelming amount of white text damage we take.

Wouldnt it makes more sense for blood shield to only absorb a partial amount of damage then to give dk’s block?

There’s a lot of things they could do to make blood’s damage intake be smoother though.

I never understood why blood was never a half affliction lock with baked in melee. Need more dots and options to use the dots, damage, healing, cc, you name it. Blood is supposed to manipulate life force basically, and we do everything but that except for death strike. Bone shield needs to go and just get replaced by blood shield. That shield should be super easy to apply, super easy to keep up and absorb a percentage of damage we take instead of taking the full amount and then healers can heal us like normal. If the shield falls of aka rotational failure we drop.

hmmm…

when I think of tanks, i think of them primarily in three groups:

block tank: paladin, warrior
dodge tanks: druid and monk
parry tanks: DH and DK

I don’t think bone shield should give block, but then I wonder about the comment about blood shield making more sense for BDK than a bone shield. the bone shield is obviously long part of DK.

but what if BDK was a whole new kind of tank: a leech tank. everything is about leeching massive amounts of life force from the enemy.
