No I totally understand…but really this are three things (imo).
OP wants 2004 interface and Blizzard gave them one (or almost super close).
Others want a non-2004 interface which the modern interface gives someone the ability to change.
You want to specifically use ELVUI and that seems totally reasonable too.
As it sits today, all of these are possible, so no one should be quitting over an interface.
