The only thing anyone can do like this is the Scrapper in BfA.
That only works on BfA items though.

Dang okay. Wish they would make it a thing for all levels.
I’ve made the suggestion that they should make the Scrapper work for every expansion, but with the changes to leveling in SL and the way the professions are broken into their own expansions now, I doubt they ever will.

because while its nice for you, its not nice for the economy and less scrapped means more bough and sold 
And those of us who are consumers would greatly prefer this.
“Nice for the economy” can mean “nice for the buyers in the economy”.
