Can bear 1v1 pvp?

If I wanted to level up a bear for wpvp maybe a BG here and there, would it work?

Geared guardians are hard to kill out in wpvp. Most people will simply just run away or leave you alone, unless you get jumped by multiples.

And even then, a bear can easily 2v1.

So OP, short answer is yes you can, easily

Yea you can. You’ll usually win since the other person will die of old age…

I run a good hybrid spec of feral (with mangle of course) and balance instead of resto for some interestingly better utility and 1v1 like a god so far .

I just stay away from SL/SL locks and it’s gg

wpvp as a Bear…I don’t know why you would want to? Maybe its just me and my ADHD or something but yea as others said likelihood of you killing people is low. Most will just run off or leave you be. Unless you are actually lvling a bear warmode, in which case you die to a lvl 60 farming herbs etc. Rarely did anyone under 60 mess with any of my toons while leveling.

It was a blast in BfA. Especially with the PvP talent that made entangling roots instant. Den mother for the extra health, and the one that gives you 60 rage whenever you use FR.

Get to the point of hitting FR and then use the extra rage to go on the offensive.

Bash, roar, roots + travel form and wild charge and dash if they try to get away. Was good times

You likely don’t win a 1v1.

Any class with off-healing: You can never kill them b/c your damage sucks.
Any class with snares: they can stay away long enough and kite you forever.
Any class with hard stuns: they’ll wait until you change forms to get out of a root, stun you, and blow you up.

The problem is you don’t do enough damage to really kill anyone. They can simply run away, keep you snared…if you shift out, they can drop a stun and unload burst.

It’s much better to run as necro feral. Tons of survivability and damage and mobility. Or night fae feral and run the barkskin leggo…extremely hard to kill you and tons of damage.

Actually they could. The bear was mostly used for tanking spec and activity. So if you were 1v1 situation in pvp the bear will definitely help with taking damage. If you play resto, Cenarion ward while having bear form will get you through most of opponent’s burst. Now with damage its kind of bad.Now bear with cenarion ward and then go to cat form after burst from opponent you can then deal damage. The resto tanking feral.

Turns out you can Pump (I say that jokingly) some damage with the Sleeper Lego…against someone with no heals, and no regard for their health bar.

Killed a rogue yesterday, while he was trying to nab a flag from me.

Really huh? How did you survive his burst. I have a Dh and I cant take damage. Ill die instantly.

well not instantly but ill die pretty fast against most classes burst

Necro Shield ate most of it, then simple Barkskin/ frenzy when needed.

Be a guardian Druid and you’ll be invincible

The problem isn’t, for me at least, CAN you WPVP as guardian, but are you allowed to?
Let me clarify what I mean by that.

Your DPS is pretty low, so in general people have a good 15-20 seconds to react to -whatever it is your up to. A lot of the time they just CC you and leave. That sucks but you can usually catch back up to them and reengage, but it will repeat a few times until you beat them.

The alternate scenario is that they run to 2-3 alliance and they team up to kill you, which REALLY sucks.

The worst scenario is that your killing them and they just que for something and disapear.

All of these would be avoided with some decent burst, or at least higher sustain, but outside of convoke and some maul tricks with lucky procs we don’t really have either.

So TLDR Guardian is fantastic at WPVP, and you can kill any non-healer easily… but a lot of the time you just won’t be allowed to because it’s simpler for your target to just leave.

THIS MIGHT CHANGE though as we stack on layers upon layers of borrowed power, since blizzard is notoriously terrible at balancing their game. As an example: Twilight Devestation 1 shotting last year. We’re generally a great delivery mechanism for borrowed power since were tanky AF… so theres always that should the game provide it.

Pretty much what harpell said, no one wants to fight a bear 1v1 because they’re just so tanky.

Are you sure you dont mean 20-30 horde? Considering hardly any allie wpvp and the game is zerged with hordes ^^

And that’s why my base movement speed is 160%… in bear form.

Bears are great in BG. In fact they are meta in rated BG with sleeper legendary.
You can easily swap to resto to world PVP. World PVP groups are easier to get as a healer is why you would. Just heal in your bear gear. Maybe switch trinkets and weapon if you can but really world pvp healing is not hard. Its basically camping flight points and similar places.

But allie get Against Overwhelming Odds and horde gets… not a single actual reward from doing WPVP.

There’s always an alliance farm team camping places like Maw entrance and outside the Flight path to Mists of Tirna Scithe, at least on my server. Whereas most horde in Warmode just ignore the alliance since there’s no incentive to fight them.
