the devilsaur looks good for a pvp pet in some situations, so I grabbed one
what the heck is up with that foot stomp sound, it’s quite loud and constant
I do like pet sounds but wthheck those stomps!!!
EDIT: apparently, from a search, this might be an undead devilsaur model problem
I like it,sounds intimidating
it does, it does, it’s got a nice low frequency thump - great
the volume though is too piercing, it needs some variability
they could accomplish the same bassey intimidation without the pierce

Yeah i wish they could be louder and cause the screen to shake
the big dogs used to do something like that … the core hounds, they had to take it out because of motion sickness, the effect is cool, it’s just too much with the pet next to the hunter nearly all the time when running around

Yes, there are addons that can mute any game sound you want.

This came up on my Google search so I’ll necro it to add more info. I just tamed the Rotting Monstrosity’s and the footsteps were loud.
There’s a current addon as of this posting, MuteSoundFile, that allows you to mute sounds by Sound ID. To get the sound ID, I went to WoW.Tools and searched around. The sounds you want to mute are sound/character/footsteps/mon_dinosaur_large_footsteps 1-10.
It makes them nice and silent.
The somewhat large downside for me is this is a generic sound file for all large dinosaurs, so the large bosses you DO want to hear coming at you will be muted now. I really wish they would make separate Hunter Pet Large Dinosaur sound files that just toned it down a little so there was no need to mute.

WoW.Tools has moved to Wago.Tools
everything else works just like Efx said though. mute sounds 1-10. here are the codes. I dont think these get changed with new expansions, but just in case, use the “Preview this sound” button before muting
