So I have read the post where it states Tier will be disabled. Soulbinds, Conduits and Covenant abilities and Legendary Items will be enabled in “Shadowlands Content”.
Can anyone explain what exactly this means? Especially in regards to double dipping on covenant abilities, legendary powers ect.
Example. If I take the Sepsis Talent on Assassination Rogue and am in the Necrolord Covenant, do I get Both Sepsis and Serrated Bone Spike? Or will I be able to talent Abomination’s Limb on DK and gain Death’s Due from being in Night Fae Covenant?
Other example. If I use the Frenzied Monstrosity Legendary on UH DK, and take the Ghoulish Frenzy talents, Do I now get 24% increased DMG and Atk Speed for the Duration of Dark Transformation?
Other example. If I use Death’s Certainty Leggo on UH DK will that stack with Improved Death Coil and Coil of Devastation? That will give me 55% increased DMG on Death Coil, which hits 2 targets and leaves a 30% of DMG done DoT on the target over 4 seconds. And reduces the CD on Death and Decay or Defile by 2 seconds.
I also just want clarity on what “Shadowlands Content” means. Is this raids and M+? Does it apply only to Tazavesh and not the other M+? Fated Raids? Or is it simply world content?
I know we will all find out tomorrow, but I just dont like that there isnt much readily available information on these questions. Either that, or I just dont know where to look.
It probably works like BFA’s Heart of Azeroth. It’ll work up until level 60 (max level of its respective expansion if we’re talking previous expansions) of Shadowlands and be disabled after if you use said items in DF zones.
Where is the post or article explaining this. I know this will happen at expansion launch. But tomorrow they have said that Legendary Items and Covenant abilities will work in Shadowlands Content. This post purely relates to pre-patch
You got me. Every pre-patch I mostly just assume things aren’t going to be working properly and have always just done the pre-patch stuff or did something else.
HOA will cast fire/healz up tp BFA content. this was how in ICC I healed the green dragon. it was one more chance at loot lol. 4 gold is still gold lol. also faster than waiting for the portal bypass to go to the next boss.
Legendaries and covenant abilities will work in Shadowlands content. Open world/dungeons. Things like divine toll which is a talent and covenant ability share a cd, or don’t stack. Tier sets are the only thing going away right now.
Having never played Shadowlands, I hope I never have to even learn what a conduit is. This stuff will be out of the game, right? I mean, unless you feel the need to go play SL content?
This is not correct. Cov powers that became talents and you PICK those talents will be disabled. So, for example, a NF druid who picks the new convoke talent will lose the Convoke NF power. But that druid could then switch to Necro, and use that power AND the convoke talent.
So yes, you can get Talent Cov power X and switch to Cov Y and have both - in ‘SL content’
Conduits might be nice to get if you’re farming SL content for drops and transmog, but even that niche will probably be irrelevant in a couple years.
Still, the Night Fae spirit form will probably be a welcome speed increase option for farming SL raids when we get to that point, so I’d wager setting all your alts to Night Fae will probably be worth it in the long run if you decide to farm Sylvanas or the Jailer for their mounts.
I was kind of guessing it would be this way, but I still cant find anything concrete on it. Like if M+ and Raids are the Shadowlands Content. Im guessing they are. Also nothing on the legendary power stacking. Because gaining 24% damage and atk speed every min, is actually one of the less impactful possible stacks.
