I for the life of me cant find brairthorn to pick. i run around for an hour through Hillsbrad, Silverpine and Stonetalon and all of 3 briarthorn none with Swift Thistle. Is there anyway to get into a blizzard employee ears or am i just screaming at clouds?
Briarthorn is everywhere. Also you can get Swiftthistle from Mage Royal too

Try looking at different times, should be quite a bit out there, unless your gathering at the same time others are, of the three areas you mentioned, never found much in Hillsbrad, though that could just be me, but the other two there is quite a bit, though if I recall more to the south in Silverpine than in the northern part.
Southern Silverpine and Northern Barrens especially around oasis areas.
Actually no, one of the changes they made to Anniversary was put all the Briarthorn on the blockchain. Anniversary just ran out is all, it isn’t a bug
It sucks because some people will loot the Swift Thistle but leave the briarthorn which you then have to pick to get it to respawn to get the chance. Same goes for Mage Royal and the drop rate is pretty low as it is.
Yeah there are definitely people not grabbing the briarthorn and only taking the swift thistle. Creates less supply as the node doesn’t despawn.
Alot of the times it’s players doing this to save bag space, just like skipping over lesser value herbs / nodes when farming. They then wonder why no new nodes are spawning.
