Can any one "git gud"?

Eh “git gud”… I hate this ‘term’. I know plenty of people that are really good clickers and such.

Now if you want to min/max your playstyle you can do a few things.
Stop keyboard turning unless necessary. Mouse turn only and strafe.

Set up alt and shift binds for that multipurpose mouse. My hotbar for example. I have my regular 1-= of course. The hot bar above is SHIFT+1-=. Hotbar 3, to the right, is ALT+ 1-=.
By doing this, you can learn to fully utilize your mouse as well as get faster at hitting those far away buttons.
Also once you have this done. Get used to only hitting 1-3 on your actual keyboard. 1-12 on your fancy mouse.

Clicking is OKAY. Even with my naga, I still click depending on what is going on. If I want to misdirect, I will shift +1 and click whoever I am MDing to. Sure I can save an extra half second by setting up @focus macros, but I am fast enough, it doesn’t matter that much.

If I have 2 buttons I need to mash. Like my unholy dks aoe (scourge strike + epidemic). I will literally mash 1 button on my keyboard and put my mouse over the other and click and mash my buttons.
Healing as well. If you have your 1-= alt and shift binds. You don’t need a fancy addon. Hit whatever keybind and click that portrait. Once you get used to it, you don’t need things like healbot.

Guides guides guides! Never overestimate the power class guides hold. I run 20’s quite a bit and I still refer to them quite a bit for min/maxing.
Running sims on your build. Very important for min/maxing when you get an upgrade. Don’t be afraid to do this with talents as well. It’s helped me pick current talents. Seeing what performs/synergizes better.
Bloodmallet - one of the best websites you can possibly use. It’ll show you bis trinkets, legos, whatever for single target and aoe.

The best tip. Just do the content. Literally join pugs and run it. Thats the best way to learn and get used to it. Read the dungeon journals, maybe some online guides and just jump into it.
I was timid at first when I started doing keys. It felt like this super scary thing that was stuck behind a wall. Start small and work your way up. Once you get down the layouts, pulls, mechanics. It’s nothing. My group has 22’s on farm now.

These are things I’ve done over the years. I hope it helps.
