Can All Future M+ Dungeons Be Like Gambit?

-Short timer and casual friendly.
-More than one color and aesthetically pleasing
-Mechanics that aren’t overly complicated
-Very pug friendly
-Its hilarious hearing the bigwigs voice try to pronounce mrglglglgl

Seriously, if more M+ dungeons were like Gambit, it’d be much more accessible and desirable to many, and maybe I’d buy fewer boosts.

Gambit is fun.

I wish there was more trash variety in the Murloc area so there was more reason to experiment with pathing but otherwise its pretty great.

That said, most of the dungeons in Shadowlands are fun. Mists is the only one that’s bad in my opinion - I completely abhor the design of it and how it impacts M+.

I love shorter dungeons but you’ll have people on here that love theater of pain and de other side.

I liked Gambit, mostly because of the Murloc area at the start, good atmosphere and fun enemies to mow down.

First boss is way easier than the next two so I guess it kind of builds to a grand finale in a way.

This kind of pacing is very underrated. The first boss should not be the bottleneck. Ideally they should somewhat progressively ramp. Another reason why Mists is garbage, the first boss is make-or-break for the run on Tyrannical. The last boss should be the hardest boss and IMO should have multiple phases or gimmicks. So’leah is a good and proper final boss.

Side-note: Speaking of last boss fights, I still hate how boring Devos is. She’s not as much of a push-over in S3 compared to S2 given how high keys have gotten and how we don’t have the Tormented powers to carry us, but man, what a boring final boss, especially for such a lore important character. Comparing Devos to say Stradma, man what a night and day difference in terms of having a heart pumping last boss.

found the guy who has never tanked pirate dragon

love the dungeon, but hate that boss.

ok well. hate that boss in pugs. it’s easy in groups when people have brains and understand THEY control where the adds go and how successful I’ll be nuking them, not me.

I was just going to say this. Perhaps my least favorite boss to tank ever.

Hey, I’ve only ran gambit on bolstering once and it was a crap show. What should I do in the murloc area in 15s on bolstering?

Honestly? I just YOLO it. Prayge kicks are on point for Water Bolt. Not worth slowing down IMO.

Honestly, as a tank I hate mechanics that target where a DPS stands. Many PUGs don’t really get how to properly bait the spears in SoA and it really sucks if you’re trying to do the double angel pull which is IMO meta now.

especially with the changes to bolstering. I just pull the murloc area as normal too, though I’m only doing 20-22s.

yea it really sucks.

Idk who those ppl are lol.

Everyone is all about mists and halls

Interrupt the Scalebinders before they cast Fish Sticks with Leg Sweep or Para.

If you are tanking on the monk,

Use RoP when things bolster out of control, kick Water Bolts from the Fishmancers whenever possible(very important if they are ultra bolstered) and be extra careful of the stacking buff of Bolster + Cry of Mrrggllrrgg(50% damage increase) from the Shell Crushers.

If I was in a pug I wouldn’t pull more than 1 Scalebinder pack at a time unless people are on point with their stuns for Fish Sticks otherwise you’ll be there forever.

if I could make one targeted gambit wish, it would be to extend the fishstick cast just a bit.

it’s so fast

I know quite a few of your guildies,

Togg, Mawl etc should play sometime

Unfortunately this is just my forum character :frowning: I haven’t raided with them since bfa troll raid, but I miss them. They were good peoples.

you guys should expand on the “gripes when pugging insert dungeon_” there are alot of nuances Im not aware of

Big fan of Gambit other than the lost boss. Now the last boss of Streets is my fave (no sarcasm).

What do you mean by gripes?

Like what particular mechanics to watch out for in particular when pugging?

yeah like common mistakes seen in pugs, many who run pugs have varying levels of experience and I myself dont watch streams I just log on and group up.

For example Im not always aware when to use lust (HoA or DoS) but when I ask usually I get a response like I should have known.

People grabbing more than 3 orbs on the third boss of SD. You only need three to survive. If people grab more than you kill someone unless the tank grabs none.

In ToP always kick or silence the withered cast that reduces healing and damage. Until really high keys thats about the only thing dangerous outside of tornadoes (and sanguine on the platforms.)

In Streets have one person start the RP for the next boss while you clear trash in the mailroom. It can shave some time. Also don’t go into the music room until everyone is out of combat. It can glitch out and you wont be able to do that boss.

Those are the things I see people not do most often in lower keys.
