Can a trial account be recruited through the “Recruit-A-Friend” program?

Hello,

I have a trial account that I signed up for a long time ago and recently logged in to play a bit. Now, I’m considering subscribing to the game. However, after checking the Recruit-A-Friend page, it mentions that a new account must be created within seven days to be eligible.

So, if I want to qualify for the Recruit-A-Friend program, do I need to create a new account and get invited within seven days?

Additionally, are there any time limitations or restrictions for the subscription to enable Recruit-A-Friend benefits? For example, can I just purchase the subscription without buying the expansion?

Many thanks.

It doesn’t have to be a new account. It can also be an old account that hasn’t had active game time in 24 months…

And I could be wrong, but I would guess a trial account would fall under that since it has never had active game time.

They only care about game time, not x-pack purchases.

Thank you very much for the reply.
Yes, the condition you mentioned and “Recruits with new accounts must have a WoW account no older than seven days,” were confusing to me.
I really appreciate your answer!
