Vol’jin and Rohkan are Shadow Hunters and we saw how the played back in Warcraft 3. With abilities like setting Wards that spawn serpents that bite you, Hexing which turns anything into a critter or the ultimate attack called Big Bad Voodoo which turns all friendly allies invulnerable in an area around the Shadow Hunter.
Can this class somehow work in WOW somehow? Mabye it be a hero class?
I have wanted Shadow Hunter for a long time. Imo it would have one ranged spell DPS, one ranged agility DPS, and a healer spec. The armor would be mail.
The spell DPS would use shadow and voodoo type magic.
The ranged agi DPS would use bows and throwing axes!
Lastly the healer spec would utilize Loa’s for buffs and heals.
Problem though, lore wise only Trolls have been known to be Shadow Hunters and have connections to the Loa Spirits.
And as far as I know, Blizzard ain’t making Faction Exclusive Classes anymore since Vanilla.
So I don’t know what Alliance Race could pass off for a Shadow Hunter? The only logical thing I can think of is Night Elf Shadow Hunters.
That is true but with the events of BfA and the discovery of Zandalar now others can learn the ways of a Shadow Hunter.
they could probably squeeze some lore in since we had so much interaction with loa’s in BFA.
Well either way, your suggestions make alot of sense for how Shadow Hunters can work in WOW. Also give them a focus of using Wards like the Serpent Ward and such.
And I like how you used the Agility DPS being a bit inspired by how Zul’jin played in HOTS.
Dark trolls could bolster night elf ranks and join the alliance giving both factions access to the shadow hunter class. I’d be able to stomach dark trolls on alliance if it meant I could be a shadow hunter
I refuse to play Dark Spear Trolls unless I can play a Shadow Hunter. Too many established classes overlap with my toons that already use them. Can’t be a Survivalist Hunter because I have one as a Highmountain Tauren and so on.
Its the same problem I have with Gnomes and Goblins, can’t play as them unless they give me The Tinker Class, and I have concrete ideas on how Tinkers can work.
