I have an rp quest to acquire Starshatter from Mogu’shan Vaults. I’m a beastmaster hunter. Just wondering if it could drop for me as is, do I need to change spec or change the loot setting?
No, you won’t have to change any of that. All legacy content has legacy loot rules which drops completely random loot under the assumption that the max amount of players who can possibly be in the raid, are in the raid. Going in on your hunter can drop any manner of weapon or item of any armor type, but it will be BoP upon looting. So if this RP quest includes handing it off to the other player, you might wanna have an OOC discussion with them about it.
