What I think you mean by “clicking” is clicking abilities like Wrath and Prowl and not clicking Healbot to cast heals
Yes you can, not wanting to is a different story but if there was a vat of acid above your head and you had to learn to not click or it’d be dumped on you then you’d figure it out

I click to tank.
I use mouse over macros with my many button mouse to heal.
Leveling this character to 50 without macros in Chromie time was a hard and painful experience that I did a) for fun to see how hard it was and b) I felt too lazy to make macros for this character
I would say healing is the 1 role you can’t be a clicker.
DPS and tanks keep a boss target at all time and click spells
Healers just can’t afford to waste time to click their target then click their heals, far too slow.

Yes you can. I am a clicker and have been a healer since 2004. I have healed most content except Mythic raiding. I play every healer but my main has been a holy priest since Cata. I heroic raided all the way up to SOD then I took a break from raiding and have gotten KSM in Season 2-4 fully pugging. I also am a keyboard turner (gasp I know) . In the past I have lead raids and when people find out I’m a clicker they can’t believe it. I do have a mmo razer mouse and have 3 spells keybinded. It can be done I don’t say this to protray I’m the best clicker or that keybinding isn’t better because we know if you want to go very high keybinding is the best. For me I am just comfortable in what I do and my skill and that is good for me. I don’t Vudu or clique or any other healer addon. I use all the normal addons that are must have with Wow but no healer addons (oh except decursive).

This is why Vuhdo and other apps exist.
If you are a clicker I recomend the 12 button mouse. It makes life so much easier

VuhDo, couple keybinds to you mouse scroll, mouse over macro and a 12 Button mouse is your best friend. Took about 2 weeks to get use to the mouse, but made a huge difference.

I can’t do keyboard binds. I was a clicker until I discovered there’s mice with a 12 button keypad on the side for your thumb. Changed my MMO world. Combined this with grid + clique addons for healing and never looked back.

Healing addons just save you the time of having to write a macro for every single ability and heal/harm and mouse over.
Nothing more.
As a clicker myself… yes you can heal. You can do anything if you click. It’s just better to find ways to make it easier for you to excel using your preferred way of playing. Clique and grid is what I’m using right now. I used Vuhdo for a very long time before that. It allows you to click on the unit frames to heal. You can use the same buttons off those frames to use your usual dps spells if you like. It keeps it simpler, using the same buttons but they have different functions on different spots of your screen.
Using a mouse with buttons on the side of it makes this even simpler. You still are just clicking but now you have the ability to click on any button without moving your mouse to the bars.

Absolutely you can heal being a clicker. I did it for a long time. I know others who do it as well. If it’s how you are comfortable and you are proficient with it there’s no reason to think you couldn’t.
Edit: blizzard has implemented their own version of clique and when used with the base UI raid frames it’s just as easy as healing addons.
I vote for healbot as well. I use it with my healers, and it definitely fits a clicker’s style. It’s best to have a mouse with a few extra buttons, but you don’t have to go too fancy.
I dont get it. If you get a 12 button mouse then would it be better keybinding things on all 12 button?
I’ve heard clicking helps heal women.

I have a 12 button mouse but only use 1-6 with shift and Ctrl modifiers. 7-12 are awkward for me. All my heals are bound to left, middle and right click with mods and my DPS/utility is on 1-6. Very little is actually bound to my keyboard. Basically everything can be bound to the mouse, if your comfortable reaching all the buttons on the thumb pad.
yea I use a 2 button mouse on the side. But I bound ctrl and shift on it. That way it actually triple my keybinds since I can have shift and control modifier with just my mouse.
That works too. Whatever makes it most comfortable for ppl to play. 
Yeah, honestly healing is probably the best role for clickers using some addons like Clique or VuhDo. Bind your most important spells to mouse buttons and just click on them to cast it.
