Can’t use first person view?

Hiya, so this morning I discovered I cannot use first person view, which is what I use for screenshots. When I try to zoom in the camera zooms behind my character then moves to the right kind of in front/side of my character…and before anyone asks and/or tells me too…yes, I checked all my add ones in fact I disabled them, exited the game, restarted, still no luck. I got it to stop swiveling around now it just zooms to the back of my character.

Conclusion
So I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem?

If anyone else had any ideas?

And if this is a “glitch” should I put in a ticket? (I may put in a ticket anyway.)

Thanks, spent some time on google and the forums and wasn’t finding anything for this specific issue.

not 100% but sounds like you have the action cam feature turned on. There is not option in the settings to turn it off, But if you type in the chat window
/console ActionCam off
just to make sure. if not yeah customer service will be able to help

Have you tried using the camera keybind on the keyboard instead of just trying to zoom in on the mouse?

No such luck, thanks for the suggest I didn’t know about this.

I play on a laptop I don’t use a mouse, I have looked through the keybindings. For me it’s a issue with “previous view” and “next view”, I keep them keybind to “home” (zoom in) and “end” (zoom out.) Sorry, if there was some confusion. Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried that on my laptop, and had issues with controlling things smoothly, and things like switching camera views. My solution was a cheap mouse with a scroll wheel. Life has been good since then. Possibly something for you to consider down the road.

UPDATE

After putting in a ticket, I was told to reset my key bindings this didn’t help, so I marked the ticket as “still have a problem”, and explained what I had done, and then the second time I was told to do this

and that seem to fix the first person view issue, I still have an issue of getting the camera level behind my character, although that may be a setting I need to play with (I’m always adjusting the camera it feels like) that said I’m happy for the moment, this did completely reset everything FYI.
I have changed interface, key bindings, and add ons back to the way they were and everything seems to be running fine now, thanks for all the suggests.
