I mean actually they kinda do… They only have an anniversary because we, the players, are paying them money. In return we ask for a polished game that is fun [Fail]. In which case, a unique mount is the least they owe us…

Thats not how this transaction works
They offer content for expansion fees and game time for sub fees. You use the product if and when it suits you based on what they offer and that is your choice
Beyond that you are owed nothing
This is the best analogy I can offer. Imagine you go to McDonalds and order a Big Mac. You get home, and they only give you half a Big Mac. Yeah your gonna scream, be pissed, etc… But when your hungry again, you’ll go back. Why, because you love McDonalds and that nostalgic taste of your first Big Mac (LOL cringe). WoW is no different. We can sit and complain all day, never being heard or read. At the end of the day, we will still have our money ready to pay for next month. Next Patch. Next expansion. At which point we again, are given half a Big Mac…
Business entices people to spend money, skimps on free stuff, news at 11.
I can’t believe you thought it would be anything but a reskin, pretty much the only truly unique models these days are store mounts.
Probably because the Deathwing one wasn’t a reskin but that was for a special anniversary. But it likely raised expectations.

They can offer as much or as little as they want in terms of content, interaction with community, etc. It’s their product and their choice as they sell it, just as it is your choice to keep paying to play it.
If you pay for what they offer, you can’t blame them for what they offer.
They dont owe you a free unique mount because youre buying what theyre selling know what I mean lol

You kinda can actually. I Subbed six months, NOT for the in game mount, for a product that I enjoy. A product that essentially by nature promises content, interaction with the community, etc. Am I wrong? If by not upholding expectations, are we not than being scammed? A little exaggerated of course, but you get the point. I cant just unsub and receive a refund… It’s not the consumers fault we continued to pay for what, almost a year in-between patch 9.0 and 9.1

If you dont like it you can unsub, but as long as you keep paying, you are telling them that their game is worth paying for, so you cant sit there and say they owe you a mount
I guessed you missed the comment about, 6 month subs? Thats not how video games work. You do not wait 6 months to determine if content is good and acceptable to only then sub. At which point that content is outdated lol
They should, instead, take anniversaries as an opportunity to include mounts based on that era, but that weren’t available in that era.
For example, this anniversary has a boss harkening back to BC. The mount could have been a mini-Fel Reaver. Fel Reaver noises and all.

They are inseparable. You cannot play the content without game time, and game time is worthless without content. It’s virtually useless to just buy one and not the other lol
