Listen Blizzard, we understand that a huge portion of the WoW loot lottery is all about killing things until the thing drops. That’s fine for dungeon/raid/world bosses; but it’s just a huge drag standing around and waiting on little mini-bosses to spawn for a tiny chance at a new form.
What if you made more of the new forms rewards for doing content? Maybe we could attach new forms to our tier? I’d love a real response here.
Then you’d have the inverse thread created about how its gated behind content not all people are willing to participate in
Theres no winning. This is the easiest (therefore the best) option
It is possible to have multiple sources for the same item.
That increases fhe chances ans reduces RNG and reduces the desire to log in more.

I continue to assert that the current state of affairs is not fun.
I do not enjoy logging in to sit next to a rare spawn and wait for 2.5 hours when I could be running content with friends instead. I have done this every day with Moragh since 10.2 launched. Some days I get lucky and I only have to wait 10 or 15 minutes. Other days, it’s more than an hour. Today it was just an especially long wait.
I believe this situation can be improved.

The low drop rates suck, but I rather it be open world, that way I can do other things while waiting for the rare to spawn as opposed to being tied to a raid where you can’t do anything else, and it would be a weekly lockout.

I feel so bad for the devs.
People in the forums seem to have these delusions that their voice represents the entire community or something. So if they don’t like something, it NEEDS to be fixed. 0 consideration or thought as to if others actually like it. Heaven forbid we don’t all mirror Dreamwalker lol.
The devs are constantly trying to give us what we want and appease us. The problem is, we are never appeased. People actively look for stuff to complain about.
I really feel bad for the devs. For those moments when they don’t listen (at least to what seems to be a universal opinion), i’m like, well yeah. I get it. When they did listen, people b**ched anyways, so why bother lmao
One of the biggest examples I can think of is the Eclipse system for Druids. Players complained they had to alternate between Lunar and Solar (which doing the aoe one in ST felt bad and vice versa), so they wanted to be able to choose which Eclipse they entered.
So Devs let them do that here in DF, and now everyone is complaining about how “clunky” it is. Everything sounds good on paper but no one actually takes the time to think about their requests.
Or it gets monkey pawed for the same reasons. “Hey we want this super vague recommendation” - then they get it and complain because they were unaware of how it would affect the rest of the game play.
/sigh - I do not envy the Devs
Everyone is acting like you have to sit there for hours. Most of the rares are up when I fly by, I already have them all now except the Runebear and the Firebird form.
Some forms can be obtained by a secret, or a quest, and others rares. We need a sense of rarity with our forms, until now all of our forms have been a super easy “buy the mark on the AH” besides our legion forms and the fire cat.
Especially in a few weeks, NOBODY is going to be doing these rares. You’ll be able to pull up and kill them even on busy realms. You are being impatient and expecting forms now.
I kind of feel this way with Enhancement Shaman as well, I played it Wrath-WoD, then Legion came and I was skeptical about the builder spender setup, finally tried it and I actually liked it more, then people asked for Enhancement Shaman to go back to how it was, and now it just feels clunkier than it did pre-Legion.
Make the form a quest chain like the heritage armour. Take maybe 2 to 3 to complete it for each form. Is much better than just camping for rares with a RNG chance
I wouldn’t mind it as much if the ones that dropped were at least BoA and could be obtained on any class. I have almost no reason to be in the Emerald Dream outside of epic seeds (and I only do them if they’re close to the upgrade vendor) and upgrading my gear.
If I could obtain them while running around on a non Druid alt, it would be enjoyable.
Also I have yet to see the grey owl bear up ever.
I just killed him for the first time and I had to realm hop to make that happen.
