Campaign Quest Locked Behind Raiding

At this point someone in charge at blizzard is more worried about making sure they can continue to gaslight/PR speak investors/shareholders than actually making content that feels like it can stand on its own.

I imagine actual casual players would feel pressured into doing it all at once.

If they’re a solo player and they don’t like or want to do raiding then they don’t need raid gear they just need the story/campaign element of the raid. It’s a simple solution that should’ve been done this way from the start back in Cata.

Is there some sort of other pre-requisite besides having killed him and turned in the “Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: Sarkareth” quest? I’ve done both on my raiding character and the quest is nowhere to be found.

You mean like how Normal and up raiders are now?

Open all of LFR the first week!

Or, you know, let us choose what we want to do. Maybe we want to know. Maybe LFR could have been released earlier. Something better than maybe in a month you might find out while others find out right away and spoil it online anyway, lol.

This just proves that casual players are super entitled.

How do other games tell stories without a raid?

Again the issue isn’t inherently that the story culminates in a raid. It is that their “story mode” (lfr) is staggered in such a way that you don’t get the last wing for another month+ after it comes out on normal/heroic/mythic. So unless you just avoid the internet for the next month, you will inevitably see how it ends elsewhere before in game.

They could very easily just not stagger the LFR release. Instant problem solved.

they were kinda important to story. Sarkareth is irrelevant, Ebonhorn and that good dracthyr character not even in that raid

No it doesn’t. Us wanting to see the story along with everyone else before it gets spoiled online is not entitled. Everyone spends the same amount on the game.

Funny part is is that i just watched the ending on wowhead :stuck_out_tongue:

The story leads to the raids. The raids are part of the story. Do the raids or stop complaining. Good lord these forums are full of crybabies.

Casuals are casually puttering their way through LFR as it comes out, though, not demanding it’s all available day one so they can clear the whole raid at once because…that’s not very casual.

I’m gonna go and do that too. Screw their timegating.

Exactly, which makes this whole exercise really stupid lol

Yes it’s so entitled to not feel like the main story campaign shouldn’t be tied to raiding, dungeoning, PVPing, etc. or that they should release LFR in a much more timely manner.

Then play the game. I don’t know how to spell it out for you. The story ends in the raid, and you can still see it this week at the end of the raid.

I do.

Except in the storymode raid until a whole month after everyone else, lol.

Stop making excuses for this.

Kaivax said that:

If I understand it correctly, you don’t even have to step into the raid to finish it, but those that don’t will have to wait until that wing of LFR is available.
