Ever since I went into the keybind menu last week and tested out what each camera view was(in the bindings), I have to reset camera view 1 each time upon logging in to make my camera follow behind me.
Any way to not have to do this EACH TIME upon logging in?
Update: Googled harder and found solution here!

Open <World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\{ACCOUNT-NAME-HERE}\config-cache.wtf> in a plain text editor, and search for lines like these:
SET cameraDistanceA "38.854439"
SET cameraYawB "0.337592"
SET cameraPitchD "0"
Make sure the game is closed, and then delete those lines. Anything like camera Distance/Yaw/Pitch with a letter A-E at the end should be removed. The numbers in quotes don't have to match my example, only the word after "SET". Save the file, and hopefully the camera will follow again properly once you start WoW up.

This is THE Solution to camera follow problems! Ignore all the other posts on the interwebs, they are false/time consuming/useless.
I went a step farther and just deleted the whole block of SET Camera entries. Reset everything back to default and the camera follows perfectly again. Thank You.

I second that this is the solution. I tried a different one a few months back and it didn't work. I got fed up of having to reset every log in and decided to look again for a solution and found this post. All is well now.
The only thing different for me was that in my account folder, there were folders with numbers and not account names. I just went in each of those and found the config-cache.wtf folder and followed the rest of the post and got it all fixed.

This is still the best solution for fixing this camera problem. I’ve had this problem since WoD and I haven’t found a way to permanently fix it until now. Reviving this so that anyone who has this problem can see it easier.
This worked for me!! Finally can use my Next View/Previous View key binds again.
Even now in 2025, the same holds true! Thank you!
