People are able to spam the camera shutter effect with no cooldown on everyone standing near them. I’m curious how Blizzard made some change to the camera and then didn’t realize it needed a cooldown on the effect. Like, how can you not realize that if you push the thing more than once during testing? This needs fixed now.

People may think it’s just something annoying but NO. This can have ACTUAL adverse effects on those who are epileptic.
This is pretty much the equivalent of a STROBE ATTACK and should be handled as such. Players need to be BANNED for spamming this.

I just had to get off WoW. I was on for maybe four minutes just to check out the lean. I have seizures and have felt off since it was spammed. Please Blizzard, don’t wait until tomorrow to fix this. It’s dangerous.

Bump bump bump. PLEASE, Blizzard. While I’m not epileptic, I’m quite photosensitive and this has made me sick—my thoughts go out to those who DO have epilepsy. Very important bug to address.

I had this issue while down in Azj’Khet, it was very jarring and very much dangerous problem for those with medical conditions that are effected by this.

yeah this one really sucks for someone with epilepsy, i had to alt f4 out of a battleground, just wanted to play my fave game on patch day…

Hopefully they patch this quickly, and if you see people running around with the SELFIE Camera report them. Hopefully Blizzard hands out permenant account bans for this as it can potentially be life threatening for people sensitive to this stuff.

Yeah, that idiot hanging out between the Lamb and the Recluse. People spamming this should get a permaban, no question. Christ, I’m used to bugs after a new patch, but not players getting the tools to nuke my brain with strobe effects.
At least the dozens of other obnoxious toys that seem to be designed solely to harass RPers aren’t actually debilitating to the people behind the screen. It’s insane this was reported hours ago and they haven’t just disabled the damn camera.

Found a way to find out who is spamming the take a selfie button.
Right click on your combat log in chat, click on settings, hit the message sources tab and select the done by friends box. Toggle over to message types and toggle spell casting, and toggle success and failure.
Text will show as “X takes a selfie.” X being the player spamming the button.
You can now see who is spamming the take a selfie button. Mass report them so they get the ban they deserve. Hopefully permenant.
