What pvp server should I look to transfer to for a healthy horde pop that will stay strong going into Wrath?

Grobbulus (free xfer, 50% H - 50% A, 18k total population) or Faerlina (paid xfer, 100% Horde, 25k population).
You can look up server stats on ironforge dot pro.
The best way to prep for WOTLK was to never stop playing.
There are free transfers and Herod is on the list. You will no doubt follow the rest of the horde to Sulfuras as it is the only good destination. Earthfury was almost as good but its players decided to abandon ship so it is now toast as well.
