Worgen are finally getting something I thought would be a pretty neat addition to the rooster of game interactions we have in regards to race-thematic mechanics.
“Activate to control your worgen instincts and automatically assume human form when you leave combat.”
This ritual is part of the reason why we can play as Worgen, right? Why not have a small questline explaining why we have this mechanic, maybe a second “Ritual of Balance” that unlocks it?
Considering this means they would have a better collective control over the curse, it would also be excellent timing to add worgen fluffly tails, I think if I was a worgen and could control my “druic” curse better, I’d at least want a cool fluffy tail to go alongside it.
Some food for thought.

Such a questline would feel…redundant.
I prefer to just assume this is something any worgen could do all along.

The Worgen “Curse” has already been completely defanged. We literally never see anyone struggle with it at all. Having a whole quest line about how it’s somehow even less of a “curse” than it already is would be silly.

I am with Zerde on this. Of all things, this doesn’t really need to have lore implications.
My Druid was a Worgen for a while. I guess it wasn’t a big deal because I was a Druid anyway and changed forms. I only really turned on my Human form to dance in Stormwind.
It seems like something that should have always been there.
It doesn’t have to be defanged, on the contrary if they are able to tame the beast it can be still as dangerous but under their control.
Think of a wild wolf vs a pitbull.
I’d love pitbull customizations for my worgen too tbh

As a side note, its not like you can’t rp your worgens as being less in control/not use this option. And its not like Blizzard has to make every worgen character from here on out more like Genn who has excellent control over his worgen form.
Reminds of a worgen guild on Moonguard. They all RP as being semi feral and worgen supremacy is they motto. It’s a lot of fun when interacting with them.
I think the lore implication is that Worgen have learned better control over the curse. It’s been 12 years since the Gilneans became afflicted with the curse, I would assume after over a decade they have learned better how to control it.
In the comics Belysra implies that worgen have to learn to shift through training their will. Obviously in game we don’t see this for gameplay purposes.
Outside the implication they perhaps have gotten better at controlling themselves… not much here.
They will die on the hill that the Worgen do not have tails, also. So there is that.

As they should. They have decided they don’t want worgen to have tails, their werewolves for this setting are tailless.
God I wish they would change this. Let us see worgen be scary, and dangerous!

I’d love another questline, but I think they’d just have you learn Calm the Wolf after Neither Human nor Beast, same quest where you learn Two Forms. Worgen Death Knights would probably know it right away.
Speaking of Worgen Death Knights, Grant Lazarby is a Death Knight in the Alliance Brawler’s Guild who is known to change forms. I wonder how DK’s are treated by the rest of Gilnean society.

We did see a bit of the feral ones on the island expeditions, with the implications where are still uncured worgen out there… but they have not done anything else with it outside that.

Why would you want to risk folks not knowing about a questline and thus being deprived of something every worgen player should have?
There’s no need for a quest.
