Obv Ret pal got the big glowup for SoD launch. Enh got DW, a version of enh obv less popular with Classic players than 2h, the feedback was heard, Blizz has confirmed love for 2h going forward. All’s well and good, we can make due with that until p2. However, there’s very little in the way of good weapons available to enh, and the stuff that’s been datamined in the raid looks absolutely terrible. I get what they are going for, with fast on-hit chance weapons paired up with Flametongue Weapon, could make for some very middle of the road dps.
Currently, one of the best weapons available to Shaman, especially Orc Shaman, is the Callous Axe, a BoE green weapon sold by vendors. The only vendor the Horde have casual access to is Ott in TM. Currently, the meta for Enh shaman farming their bis weapons is sit at this vendor day and night and hope they’re fast enough to snag one, then do this farm all over again for the second.
How about some level 25 quests for some decent green weapons Blizz? Most of us don’t even want to be DW, Lava Lash is so bad I just run around with double rockbiter, water shield, and way of earth. Paladins get verigans fist, a weapon so good at this level it’s like you picked 25 as the bracket specifically to show rets they’re your special little boys. Throw us a couple bones for the 25 bracket. That is all, thank you.

Lava lash? More like lukewarm lovetap, but i also dont use water shield ill eat the melee hits for a big lava burst when i dps, or pvp
Grab a butchers axe or Meteor Shard from SFK dude.
Right right right but how about a new quest for some actually decent weapons at 25.
Lava Lash with Butchers Cleaver hits half as hard as Callous axe. The BoE out of the Raid is a fine option if you do enough quests for the gold, though.
Or just run lava burst instead of lava lash.
or get a huge, slow 2 hander then weave lava burst in between swings with a weapon swing add-on.
I bought a Callous Axe on my Orc Warrior from the bartender in the elite dark iron camp in Wetlands.
Safe to say you have more than one vendor option if you really want that axe.

Other than their terrible damage compared to everyone but shadow priests (who don’t have shadow form yet).
Unless I’m wrong, don’t you only need one? Like you need a slow offhand for Lava Lash, but I don’t think there’s any % weapon damage in the Enh sham kit for mainhand. Get one of these boys and pick up the MH option with the highest DPS.

You still want slow MH. Even right now. Lava Lash crits can proc flurry. Do you want those three hasted attacks at 58 top end damage or 34? Auto attack doesn’t make a difference, but for Lava Lash and later Stormstrike (which also isn’t normalized), it absolutely does. You don’t get more of those from haste, but those attack can proc the flurry. Slow is also better for Windfury because of the internal cooldown. You want the WF prof on a 2.8 or 1.7 speed weapon, given you can’t WF into a WF?
