Callings: Auto pick-up like Emissaries were please

Please just admit that the current Calling system is a step backwards and make it so that they are auto accepted like Emissaries in BFA. Go and hand them in at the Covenant Hall, sure. But there is no reason for having to manually pick them up each day. As someone who does Callings each day, this is an unnecessary chore.

Play time metrics. I agree its just a waste of time especially since the Flightpaths are slow enough as is.

Lol you people really love throwing out play time metrics on everything don’t you?

Its so obnoxious. I imagine its the same people that think everything falls under the definition of socialism.

Well, the other alternative reasoning for backward steps in design is stupidity.

I guess we’re just giving them the benefit of the doubt

Played Time Metrics is when Blizzard does stuff!!!

Have you seen the kyrian mission table. Definitely stupidity running around here.

Annoying sure but solved by logging out in your covenant

idk why the weekly anima/soul quests aren’t auto pickups thats the big offender imo tbh

The hell else would you call it when they design things in a way to specifically waste your time? There’s no other reason to have Callings be accepted manually besides incompetence.

I’m gonna give the opposite opinion. Emissary quests should’ve never been auto given.

There’s a few things I do at my Covenant hall every day. I fail to see how nabbing a quest there is somehow “a chore.”

Geebus, just log out at your Covenant. Why are you even anywhere else? Hearth to Garrison for AH stuff, hearth back to your Covenant.

I prefer actual quests over “auto pickups”. Maybe this is why I don’t really like WQs that much! I’d rather have them as dailies at the respective hubs. Lol.

The funniest part was Blizz saying the flight whistle has to go because of the calling system. It’s literally the same thing you’ve been doing before, the only difference is now you have to go pick them up, wasting more time.

Considering you have to go to your Covenant for other things, how is this in any way, shape or form a waste of time? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I log out at my Covenant. When I log in again, I’ve got my garden to check on, my mushroom dude quest, my anima conductor… so I pick up the Calling.

This isn’t difficult. Set your hearth to your Covenant. Use the Dalaran hearth to get to Oribos, it’s two lousy portal jumps. Use your Garrison hearth for AH and bank access.

There’s no waste of time about picking up a freaking quest if you just plan logically.

2 steps forward

3 steps back

My hearth can be on cooldown. I can be in another zone. I could have logged out elsewhere. There’s tons of examples of why it’s not good. Why are you defending it? What do you get out of it?

As long as there not invasion style auto accepts.

But this does seems like a typical Blizzard reaction to criticism. People are complaining about having to do emissaries, just rename it.

If blizzard wanted to waste your time they’d actually try like adding 1 hour of trash between raid bosses or having attunement to enter a dungeon.
