HullO! Cheers to all, just wanted to post a little note that this is the second expansion with no Archeology.
All the drama that comes with that, yes we hate it but yes we love it.
However, forgotten as it may be, can we remember that the Dwarven Classic racial of Treasure tracking was traded in for a buff to the Archeology as it was introduced?
This new Explorer buff was to have been so awesome, and I’ve never personally done archeology on a non Dwarf so I couldn’t tell you how bad it is otherwise.
Are there any thoughts as to correcting this racial buff, or granting something new, in place of it? I know it’s late in the Dragonflight prep to actually implement something.
I was ok with it not in Shadowlands, who wants to dig up the afterlife anyway.
But we’re about to go back into Uldaman for more quests on our heritage being hewn from the Earthen and the discs of Norgannon, and Archeology has no place in it?
I’d be fine with some kind of treasure tracking buff, oh wait everyone already has that too…
Just miss digging up treasure is all and wouldn’t mind some kind of replacement racial buff if we aren’t even going to revisit Archeology.

Dwarves should get a +3% buff to all damage and reduce all damage by 3% racial.
As long as they are drunk.

Bosses in raids should just bow down to the might of the raid group if entirely comprised of dwarfs. If everyone is drunk

I miss archeology. The stuff we could unlock was pretty neat and I often leveled it as I was questing. It’s a shame Blizz stopped working on it.

i don’t understand why they decided archeology was too boring to continue with but fishing was pretty much allowed to exist from classic to DF with zero changes (other than like, the new keypress to interact with bobber).
every farming sim out there realised really quicky they needed to make fishing into a little minigame to make it interesting but for 18 years blizz have been content to make us sit still and watch a bobber depress slightly. wild.

I’d rather fish and do archaeology than battle pets… Battle pets is the dumbest most boring thing ever.

Quaffing large amounts of alcohol is a long dearly held cultural tradition among Dwarves, not including it would be very insulting to Dwarven culture.
It would give value to all the valueless beverages in the game.
Even Brewfest is held right outside Ironforge for a reason.
In an interview with Hazelnuttygames back in April after DF announcement, Ion said that Blizzard isn’t happy with the current Archaeology system, but that they want to do something better with it in the future, neither abandoning it nor keeping it the way it is now.
However, he also said there aren’t any plans for it for Dragonflight. So… might be awhile, if truly ever.
Oh really? Yeah, I’d like to see them buff Dwarves. Such an awesome race.
