basically they made it so you dont need to any more via a glyph option…
And if you bring up bugs they just say “that is authentic” referring to their reference client that is got 100% original database but none of the undocumented server side fixes. “completely legit” LOL
WoW Classic literally seems to be Retail 2.0 with how they force your characters onto the next expansion, literally defeating the purpose of having “classic”
Classic Era has been out since “Classic TBC”, I kept one character on Era because I had a friend on alliance who started late and wanted someone to PvP with so I left this guy on Era and the rest of my characters I selected TBC (they made you pick when the game launched as TBC level 70)
TBC onward isn’t Classic WoW. Players have a choice: Classic or retail progression servers.

“classic” as in WoTLK classic, they moved everyone forward unless you cloned. Not everyone was around for the cloning timeframe and didn’t know. When they returned all their characters were moved to WoTLK, to play classic era they have to redo nearly 2 years of work. doesn’t sound like much of a choice to me. its WoTLK or restart on classic era even tho you never played tbc or wotlk classic.
I never cloned. I chose to remain in Classic Era for all of my toons. They only moved forward the people that never once chose to log-in to Classic Era.
They chose to not login for over a year, abandoning whatever Classic communities they were once a part of in the process.
you are acting like people do not have lives and can just constantly remain on wow. Like many of them we were not on wow neither classic nor retail. when we returned we wished to keep playing but have had our characters deleted. Im sure if you had real like things going on and came back to the same situation would would not be as callous as you are. Easy to say tough luck when you are not the one it happened to.

IDK if we will get Cata classic… I just hope once the dust settles, I can have a Vanilla, TBC, Wrath server at final patch to log in to as I please and play whatever game I want. Please?
As long as they do a clone/copy/stay thing, they need to leave wrath servers alive.
Wrath was the end of the first Era. WoD was, well, half of it was anyway… otherwise MoP was, the end of the second Era. Shadowlands was the end of the third Era.
Leave a group of servers at those AT THE VERY least.
Just imagine being able to login to one of those, and have all the gear, you can fully optimize do whatever raid, pvp, or dungeon, just for fun, and be perfectly setup cause you’ve done it. But it’s still somewhat difficult.
Log in, find some random group/guild that is trying to hit up MC, you could load up t4, but, naw, just put on t1, you’re still perfectly set and not over powered, and you can still help these people get through.
None of your characters were deleted. They are sitting there in wrath ready to play.
