Calling it Body 1 & Body 2 feels objectifying

^ Terrible word to use. Phobe = fear of something. I do not have any fear or issue with anyone else’s gender. The issue here is people like you insulting and dismissing people with the change. I already explained to you I have OCD, don’t deal with change, and that my own PERSONAL identity matters. As a woman, I have only ever played WoW as a female character. But keep not understanding and insulting others and making it all about LGBTQ which it isn’t. I will say, people like you though do start to cause resentment towards the LGBTQ community, because you make it all about you while dismissing others concerns/feelings.

Dude spent 100 posts purposely misgendering a character. thats not LGBTQ+ positive behavior. it is what it is. I never insulted someone, being called out for being transphobic isn’t an insult.

Might want to read what you said again…

You said anyone who was “offended” by the change - now you’re trying to back peddle because you legit insulted every single one of us who is against this change.

I’ve yet to hear a valid reason to be upset about this icon being changed that wasnt rooted in some trans or queer phobic ideals :dracthyr_shrug:

Sigh of relief that this conflict is finally over

Have you heard of this wonderful thing called words having multiple meanings.

Also yes you are afraid of something as you have made clear right here

You are afraid of change and that Trans people being recognised as their identity will erase your own, this fear has in turn led to anger towards Trans people such as myself and if it hasn’t already this anger will eventually lead to a hatred of Trans People.

Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering

This is the funniest thing I’ve heard since my friend told me he trusts IGN and Kotaku when it comes to game reviews. As if those 2 sites have gaming journalists working for them, lmao!

If your ‘entire identity’ is body type 1 or 2 it may be time to rethink your goals in life.

Okay, here’s one:

I’ve messed around with UI before, and you don’t waste development time changing icons unless there’s a problem with readability or the icon was a placeholder/doesn’t fit the theme, OR you’ve made a better/higher resolution version. ‘If it’s not broke, don’t fix it’. From both a utilitarian and an artistic UI standpoint, nothing was ‘broken’ with the original male/female icons. The races we have had for almost 20 years came in either male or female forms, so it made perfect sense to have the character creation screen UI reflect this.

The new icons do not reflect this. They don’t seem to reflect much of anything with a hyper-generic non-label that means nothing. You could probably exchange them for icons of fruit bowls and it would feel the same. They took something that wasn’t broken, ‘fixed’ it’ and broke it as a result. It’s like a rookie mistake, not something you would expect from professionals. (Sadly I know that it wasn’t done because of a rookie mistake, but because of ongoing politics outside the game, which makes it even worse)

You’ve posted this several times. We get it, you don’t like IGN and Kotaku. We don’t care.

And I will keep posting them because I’m correct.

The “other” option in that reply being LGBTQ+ individuals  not ‘body type 1 or 2’
