Because we’re sensitive, have feelings, care about stuff, can get easily offended, have emotions etc. I can call my dog stupid, my dog wont care. If I called my son stupid though, he wouldn’t take it too well.
Inb4: Dogs have emotions too.
We understand things in a more complex manner than animals do. As complex beings we come with complex feelings, which can procure from the characteristic of having complex understanding.
Is it objectifying for Dracthyr, a non-human race that has more than just body 1 and body 2? What about every other humand race? Did you raise concerns about every game that does this, like critically acclaimed Elden Ring? I doubt it.
I personally didn’t ask for it, but I don’t particularly care either. The results are the same, but hopefully they add more body types soon enough like Dracthyr.
Taking it way too deep, to be quite honest. Then again, there are a lot of people claiming that anything from the real life in WoW is ‘political’ so I guess they could go the route of making Humans and other references in game completely gone.
The race is still called human, and it’s still different from other races. Were you not the one arguing about specific dragon naming being a gender identifier? Won’t you be happy with the ‘pronouns’ being added with this complaint?
Oddly enough you were the one insistently misgendering Chromie, so it’s weird of you to speak on this subject and bring up the thread, especially with the T in it which you seem to dislike.
Because it’s important to some, particularly the devs in this case, and not important to anyone else. It also pretty much seems to have to do with Dracthyr and the addition of additional body types and seeing it in other games.
You wouldn’t understand anything about that, though.
Because of the engine it was built on, just like how original Classic was build on Legions framework, and then TBC moved forward with the current engine as well. OOPS.
Spoken like someone that feels apart from the LGBTQIA+ community, which you even exclude your own tag of what you said you were from typing
Honestly don’t feel like reading another 200+ posts of the same back and forth so good luck with you being upset at the change.
Its not that he doesn’t care, he just can’t understand the word. If you did the equivalent gesture that he could understand to the same effect he’d be upset about why the person he loves and wants to spend every moment being loved by feels he’s unworthy and not good enough
I will die on this hill i’ll fight anyone
On both sides of the aisle then.
taps WotLK Classic.
The engine doesn’t have label strings or icons hard coded into it. That’s not how engines work. All the UI stuff is defined independent of the engine itself.
I find they respond more to tones or actions. I have 2 Siberian Huskies. They don’t like anyone yelling, even if it isn’t at them directly, they hate raised voices. They also don’t like loud noises in general. Humans are more about direct things, it is more what you say, not always needing to say it in a certain way like loud. You can upset someone while still being calm.
I’m amazed every day at the most minor of things people choose to make a fuss over.
I agree with you.
I think animals have emotions, too.
Why do I need to join a club for what I am? That’s absolutely ridiculous. And I’m too tired to deal with the rest of your post.
If it’s such a minor thing, then why was it so important that it was changed and why is it so important to dismiss anyone complaining about the change ?
So they can add more then two body types…
May or may not have finished watching a few videos about animals reuniting with their lost owners after years and going through a tissue box from emotions
If Blizzard didn’t make the change in the first place there’d be no issue.
Instead they want to start policing us for their own faults.
Those always make me cry.
What’s “minor” to you, may not be “minor” to somebody else.
What other sex is there ?
Oh you mean you want Height, Weight, Build customizations. Not “Body Type”.
I think we already covered this though.
There are various body types for NPCs already
Yes, various builds, various weights, various heights. I agree, more customization.
But let’s keep the obvious dimorphic sex option too.
We can just call them body types tho, it’s obviously not going to be sliders because blizz is 15 years behind in that tech lol
We’re talking about gender in this thread. You’re way off track.
