Am I wrong in assuming the whole socketable trinket thing is more of a gimmick than an actual strong trinket? With only 2 sockets mattering it just feels… weak compared to standard trinkets of similar ilvl.
I don’t even have mine on my hunter, just junk stats that are in no way ever going to top straight up primary stats.
Really depends on what kinda socket options their are, the current red one from the vendor has been basically god tier in pvp, getting nerfed, which is good, but kinda need to see what other punch cards pop up over time, as I’m sure more will creep in tomorrow, willing to bet more quests open up offering some.
I just mean like, pure numbers. I understand that the nerfed punchcard has/had ridic burst which made it good for PvP, but that doesn’t necessary mean it’s good over the course of a Mythic+ Run or Raid Encounter.
I’m a little remote from the min/maxing community, but are you genuinely expecting the eek out a gain by swapping consumable cards? That sounds expensive.

It may depend on the fight, your probably right in most cases it won’t be very good, but some situations may creep up where it will be better, I would also imagine certain classes with abilities like guaranteed crits may also have it be very valuable, guaranteeing like 300K damage, essentially making it the max level rammstien trinket.
Maybe not for raids, but in M+ I can see that kind of burst being very desired.
Usually a rough tackle, and maybe insulting the referee’s family member or something.

I got red and yellow on first day. Not sure on what I kill for blue. I’ve gotten more essences and seen no more of any punchcards of any color.
Unless it is the Gold Cup final - in which case I guess you are cleared to use anything up to hand-grenades.

Eh, that’s because less people watch it (me included).
UEAFACL, Copa America, and World Cup, now THAT is where all the red/yellow cards are a real treat to the fans because of the drama.
Some of those calls are soooooo controversial.

It was the same for me, too. Until, I killed that elite mob (robot without a head) up in the big trash pile area near Rustbolt. I think I just got lucky getting my blue one, because I think it can drop on any elite mobs there. grrr…

For me, the yellow one dropped first and not too long after that the red one dropped. But, the true I did have two different yellows dropped for me.
