Sure call them outdated and not much use and stuff but oh wait what is this

ITEMS

  • Equipment that drops in the following activities have had their item levels increased:
    • Dragonbane Keep
    • World Quests
    • Centaur Hunts
    • Fyrakk Assaults
    • Researchers Under Fire
    • Time Rifts
    • Dreamsurge
    • Repeatable activities will reward Season 3 Explorer Gear and weekly activities will reward Season 3 Adventurer Gear.
  • Dilated Time Capsule (Time Rifts weekly currency) has been discontinued and can be sold to vendors for gold. The new weekly currency is Dilated Time Pod.
  • Dreamsurge Chrysalis (Dreamsurge weekly currency) has been discontinued and can be sold to vendors for gold. The new weekly currency is Dreamsurge Cocoon.

In 10.2 they are making old content relevant towards season 3 and this came from the PTR blue post.

Well it’s about damn time seeing as it still isn’t feasible for me to get passed 424. Although it is nice to be done with a character. I get to 420 on an alt and look at what I need to do to go beyond that and go…meh.

They will find a new thing to complain about. Such as “the new item levels are too high! I feel like the progression was better jumping from old to new.”. The forums will always find an issue, even with the perfect system

if 486 or so is the new 447, what are S3 explorer and S3 adventurer going to be?
And more importantly, will they help the casual crowd that is asking for more item levels in their attainable bracket vs the ED overworld content they’ll presumably be doing?

Based on the gearing tracks they mentioned (Explorer/Adventurer), these old events will let you gear up to the base LFR ilvls (441-450ish?). I would bet that there will be a new event/system that lets you go higher.
