Calling all druids that want to freely transmog their Legion artifacts

I have been playing since TBC and I think this is the first time I have ever wanted something enough that I would justify coming to the forums over it.

As a druid, the Legion artifact forms are by far the coolest class “change” that we have ever had, in my opinion. However, like most of us, I don’t want to run around with those ugly fist weapons.

What would it take to convince Blizzard to not waste the beautiful artwork they created for these special forms, and actually allow us to transmog these weapons to something else while still retaining the form when we shapeshift?

With the new expansion coming and currently in an alpha state that has constant changes being made based off community feedback, now would probably be the perfect time to do this.

That being said, I’m asking all druids to speak up in this thread! Maybe with enough demand, Blizzard will make this small change for us. Other classes are invited to support us. And, if you are an alpha tester, maybe you could post about this in the alpha forums?

Thank you for your consideration, Blizzard (if you see this).

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION:

You can use the weapons to have the shapeshifting forms you want, yes.

But then you are stuck wearing the fist weapons for guardian, for example.

I’m asking to be able to transmog those fist weapons to anything else (so you can still have a matching transmog), while retaining the shapeshifting forms.

An alternative would be to disconnect the forms with the weapons and let us use the forms with glyphs or with a new transmog option that allows you to “transmog” your druid forms.

Make Balance of Power account wide while you’re at it.

I’d also like to choose a cat form artifact appearance while not feral and bear form artifact while not guardian. Maybe that’s asking for too much. :man_shrugging:

Wait, it isn’t?

I wonder what the reason is that it couldn’t be done with glyphs like our non combat forms.

No, Balance of Power is not account wide. Some threads say it is but I have it on my Warrior and it isn’t account wide.

I’m sort of against the glyph system, it means I would have to apply one at a time and rewrite over each time I like another form. Currently I like swapping weapons to show off which form I want.

Is it possible for them to do this?

If so I’m all for it. Would require another mog slot (transformation).

Yes, it would be far nicer to be able to simply select what appearance a druid has without having to transmog to the legion artifacts. Even nice to apply to other forms as well. Freely switching in and out of Lunarwing would be nice.

I can think of one way they could do it, re-enable the Relic slot, fill Relic slot with a dummy item (no stats), apply the Legion Artifact form appearances to the Relic slot. Weapons are now free to be whatever you want them to be. You can then swap relics in and out for each form you want.

I like this a lot. Druid trainers could do it. That way if you want to change form you don’t have to gouge your bank because of how expensive glyphs can be. And you can easily preview the form if you’re seriously too lazy to google.

Now I’m gonna be the whiney baby and ask for more, make each race’s druid forms have several colors for its forms instead of all using different colors of the same form.
Maybe with the subraces they’re adding they could change druid forms up a bit aswell, EG sand trolls and darkspear trolls.

You’re asking for major code changes for a previous expansion feature that are now relegated to transmog only.

It’s not worth the resources to be honest.

it’s only ‘account wide’ for that class you got it on. so if you made a rogue, got Balance of Power on him, and then made/had a second rogue: he should have access at the appropriate level.

to unlock it for a warlock or whatnot, i’m afraid you have to scoot a lock through the process him/herself.

Funny thing about the code for the appearances, it’s still in the game as are the models. The question is how to better access them.

That would make sense in Legion, but we’re way beyond that now. I’ve done the questline, I don’t have to prove I can do it 4-5 times in a row.

And, typically when you say ‘account wide’, it refers to all characters on the account, like Pathfinder.

If we make enough noise they’ll hopefully do something about it. No glyphs. We should have an appearance tab where we can pick any of our unlocked forms for any spec.

I would also love to see more bonus cosmetic forms added that we can find whether it be a rare drop or achievement (similar to hunter pets or enchantments).

Nope

You’re spending most of your time in bear/cat form, no one will see your weapons

If they allow that, then they should allow non druids to transmog other specs artifact

usually, yeah. but i guess it’s similar to armor and weapon type mog appearance acquisition. if a piece of plate armor drops when you’re farming an old raid on your mage, you don’t “earn” the acct wide appearance. so maybe earning my paladin weapon appearance just doesn’t count when looking at my poor priest.

which is pretty annoying in and of itself. :frowning:

as for our druid friends: i’m not sure how they’d go about it, but i’d love to still be my nightmare bear and not have the giant fist weapons, so yes please.

maybe allow the actual druid “forge” in the orderhall to alter your shapeshift form, instead of the tmog guy; who can then just alter you weapon’s appearance??

You dont understand. I recall a blue post saying that the code for the druid appearances is pretty tricky, especially for transmog purposes. OP is asking for major work to be done that changes how the druid appearances fundamentally work .

It’s not worth the effort.
