Calligraphy turtle quest

First I want to ask why.

2nd I want to ask how do you properly execute this world quest?

I run on the line and fail multiple times, but then I just run on the line for the 10th time and I complete it.

I just don’t understand how it works if anyone knows exactly how it works please let me know

It’s all RNG. I did it once and it was completely random when I finally finished it as the last looked no different from the other attempts I had

Have to say, not a fan of this one.

Yeah it just makes 0 sense… I do the same thing 10x in a row and 9x out of 10 the turtle is saying I suck yet the 10th time I do the same thing as the last 9 times and somehow I did it correctly.

" smashes head against wall ".

I thought I understood how it worked, but I badly messed up my second attempt at the square today (ended up with more of a rhombus) and got credit for it.

I have found it easier to accomplish mounted. What I do is start quick and pick marks on the ground so, when the gold dissipates, I have targets to shoot for.

I normally finish them on first try. Idk…what I have found works for me.

The only time I’ve had an issue with it is the first time. After the marker for my path disappeared, I thought I’d failed, so I went back to Nola to restart – and failed as a result.

Once I realized I was expected to memorize the path, it was pretty easy. Just oriented myself correctly, and used my strafe keys to avoid screwing up the angles with my mouse.

Unlike any the similar quest in legion, this one I think matters more about hitting the far corners more then just walking on the line. At least, I kept failing until I noticed I didn’t touch one of the farthest corner

Thank you mr.moo

i’ve so far only encountered the triangle ones which are easy peasy.

the crab wqs suck because of the built in lag between pressing 1 or 2 and when the crab actually even moves. not to mention the lousy camera angle doesn’t allow me to figure out if i am all the way left or right

omg I didn’t think of that. I’ve been mouse turning and messing up angles. I love you.

You’re welcome.

Thank you!

Kinda makes a bit more sense now.

I’ve only done the circle one and it had to be exactly the same or you failed it. They show your line briefly after completing so I could see where it was a little off. The notes from yesterday says they made it more forgiving but I haven’t tried another one yet. It’s more annoying than the Legion enigma one, at least for me.

All this quest does is waste time, and that’s exactly what Blizzard wants, 1 million people x 10 min wasted = 10 million more minutes in time played. It’s working as intended.

(Plug in any numbers you want it still = wasted min and more time played)

Don’t stop moving, visualize stopping points, and turn while not stopping.

Just going to skip this quest from now on. Massive waste of time.

Amazing how they took the, generally, fairly accurate line tracing from Legion and made it considerably less accurate an xpac later.

This turtle faction is one of the worst factions in this game, someone call the Shredder.

Agree with the cow, do them mounted. The triangle is the worst for me for some reason. Gave up on it but the others were one or two attempts.

I had to place markers down to finish it.

Really wish the outline would stay put and not vanish. I will probably do beach head over it in its current state.
