When Call pet is placed on any action bar it does not work. If I open my spellbook it works when clicked in the spellbook.

Ok, so i see itās a Bartender issue - however, Bartender says itās up to Blizzard to fix the fly out 
Did you try putting all your pets in the stable and getting them back out
Is the implication that action button flyouts donāt work in the default UI?
The alternative is that add-ons are currently not allowed or able to do flyout action buttons, and Blizzard has to add the capability back for addon support (which they could choose to not do).

Iāve noticed also with key binds on action bars will not let you cast certain pet abilities when turned off unless you hit the keybind button with mouse button. I switch it to my main action bar when I press 1-5 abilities and it work there but not when assigned with key binds on another action bar.

Any hunter, warlock or rogue need to use the flyout - I hope blizzard allows it on addon UIās since they have up until now.
Not just call pet, but anything else that uses > to open up other options, eg portals/pet utilities etc
There is an awkward alternative: flyout spells can be pulled off the flyout (such as in the spellbook) and dropped as individual spell buttons on an action bar.
For things like individual hunter pets, 5 active pets in 5 buttons is manageable even if itās lame and janky. For a mage with over a dozen teleports and portals, it would be ridiculous to require whole action bars for destinations or force players to pick and choose.
I donāt understand how Blizzard broke addon button bars but this is not cool.

I donāt use Bartender - This problem effects every single character of mine with āflyoutsā as you guys call it. Canāt choose rogue poisons if itās on my barā¦ canāt teleport or portal with my mageā¦ etcā¦

Iām having the same problem. i dismissed my pet and now canāt get her back. frustrating
This, according to mod authors for action bar addons, is a due to a limitation to Blizzardsā API since the update. It removed options for mod developers to utilize āflyout menusā and as a result, things like mage portals, call pets/demons, and even rogue poisons are not working as intended while utilizing addons.
Spread the word to blizz to make this a known issue. No amount of addon updates can fix this problem. Itās a game side issue.

I have had this Issue since Patch day and I put my pet in stables and back out and placed the ability in different spots and still does not open I have open spellbook and then click on pet frustrating I hope these Issues can be taken care of soon

Iād be happy just to see it acknowledged as a bug or oversight.
In the past, Blizzard has removed things from the API that were used for exploits. Hopefully, thatās not the case here.

Same issue here. Canāt use Call Pet on my hunter. Canāt Summon Demon on my warlock. Canāt Teleport or Portal on my mage and Canāt apply poisons on my rogue.
Also when allowing addons to use flyouts please also allow them to use Push and Hold Casting Blizzard. Not for macros. Just for abilities. It shouldnāt be an issue to drag Chaos Strike onto ElvUI or Bartender then press and hold itā¦

Its been identified as a bug. Additional Ui changes are currently scheduled for phase 2 prepatch and DF release.
I wouldnāt be surprised to see this not be fixed until them as itās not gamebreaking with the current work-around available.
Iām so glad I found thisā¦thought I was going bugnuts.
