Calia Derangement Syndrome

Derek died fighting for the Alliance. That is pretty formal. Sylvanas uses fighting and dying for the Alliance as a common cause among many. But she acknowledges they did fight and die for the Alliance.

Horde and Forsaken Characters in the game should look at any Menethil or Proudmoore with suspicion. And even casual lore observers should recognize the incongruity.

What datamining was there on Derek?

You see her talking to Jania but no indication she lived there. Unless that comes up later in the Alliance questing
.

So is Sylvanas. And Saurfang. And Wrathion. And everyone who ever talks to the guy because Anduin is a labrador puppy in human form.

You know what Sylvanas and Saurfang had that Calia doesn’t?
Horde roots.

The Alliance of Lordaeron. Not the Alliance of Stormwind.

If having fought for the Alliance of Lordaeron makes someone a Blue character then most of the Forsaken and Sin’Dorei are Alliance characters.

The Pallid Lady’s champion thing. Maybe that was a PTR detail and not data mining, but either way it wasnt present in game.

Also far as I can tell only Calia refers to herself as the Pallid Lady which is, pretty cringe. It’s not a great name to begin with and now apparently it’s her own nickname she’s trying to get going.

Stop trying to make fetch happen, Calia.

Sylvanas did more fighting for the Alliance than Calia ever has. What Horde roots? She was Ms.Orc & Troll Slayer in the 2nd War and only went to the Horde as a last resort.

That is live. He has that title right now in live. Go look, they are in the west wing of the courtyard in Undercity.

Okay.
I’m not a Sylvanas fan, that’s your bag homie.

Wait, Benny
Why do you keep ignoring this???

I’m just saying Calia never fought alongside any human nation, never had any ill will toward any races of the Horde, and seems to genuinely care about the Forsaken.

But she had a not unpleasant conversation with two humans a few times so. She’s a traitor, I guess.

I ignore the entirety of BtS for my own sanity.

I mean I think the books are almost all unilaterally garbotrash, but they’re also a big source of animosity towards Calia.

Yeah and since then she admitted she was wrong and has zero clue how to relate to the Forsaken.

She still understands this and just wants to hang around to help.

They are the same. Sylvanas and Anduin agree on that much.

Not quite.

Derek came waaaay later. And his body should not even be. So the questions about him run deeper than the typical Vanilla or Cata Forsaken.

Whether he was Alliance is not in question. However, his fealty going forward is.

Anduin also admits that the sins of Arthas and Daelin are sins of the Alliance of which he is a member of.

Well certainly hope they drop the Pallid Lady thing because it’s as stupid as it is uncreative and reeks of Golden’s worst habits.

Suppose we should be grateful she’s not the Moonslight Lady.

See what Belmont has to say, he says Calia is only a temporarly shield. To protect the Forsaken from the worst of the Alliance. There’s a lot of click dialogue. Delaryn explains why she won’t go back to the NE’s.

Calia is a patsy. The Forsaken will never be Alliance.

Calia had to pack her teethbrush and hairscomb before returning to Lordaeron. She always loved the starslight there.

Keeping an eye on Calia is Locksmith Paxton, a member of the uncrowned. He’s leaning against a pillar directly across from Calia and Co.

Honestly I’ve really just been playing with alts. Hoping to a new one at level 45. Because I really don’t want to do Shadowlands content.

Can’t Blizzard just let me get to 60 somewhere else? I’m so ready for this to be over. SL is to fun what a swarm of bees is to a romantic picnic.
