How about… no?
Is that why the Forsaken went out of their way to kill and destroy as much as possible despite Garrosh’s orders?

Well, the Pale Lady is the name of one of Draenor’s moons, so an Elune thing again. And I think they were trying to give her a little bit of Victorian horror edge. Not very effective, but yea.
As for magic. All the cosmic energies are likely an expression of Essentia, so… I guess you can argue they can be to some degree interchangeable. I think they are sort of looking at magical techniques a bit like a technology. A light bulb does not care what you are using to provide electricity, so long as you provide it power, it will act in accordance to what it was engineered to do.
You mean the plague? They wanted to use that from the start because it meant less dead Forsaken. Sylvanas then took over the whole invasion to do things her way. This was all in Edge of Night.
It was also in the Worgen starting zone as Sylvanas, just as she did with Teldrassil, decided to blight everything instead of losing.
That’s how the Worgen lost most of their people and became homeless.
And now we have Calia offering to give it back? How exactly is this supposed to please anyone?
Because we have a way to remove the blight easily, appease the pissy worgen, and ensure the forsaken can focus entirely on rebuilding Lordaeron better than ever. It’s de-blighted but it’s still an awful mess. Brill is being rebuilt too.
And therein lies the problem. This does nothing for Worgen or Alliance. Its just for the Horde to have something to say they did.
Alliance is once again just sitting and reacting to what the Horde does.
“Oh you want to blow everything up? Please right this way sir”
“Oh now you want to clean it up? sure thing this way sir, thank you for your service”
Would you rather the worgen never get their homeland back? The war is over.
I would rather we fix the problem with the Alliance.
That they take their own home back. That they clean up the blight. And that they rebuild it back. Why is Horde’s involvement besides an enemy to beat need to exist?
Because the Horde currently occupy the land? That’s why they’re offering to leave. Everyone’s tired of fighting.
Exactly. So let the Worgen arrive, kill them to retake their home.
Not interested. Why should the Alliance let the war criminals just get away?
The Horde started it. So let the Alliance end it.
And it ends at the Gilneas border.
You missed the part where the war is over. Everyone is done fighting. Charging in and killing forsaken would kick it off again. Genn isn’t that impulsive.
I didn’t miss anything. Its an armistice, not a peace treaty guaranteeing a thousand years of peace. If the Forsaken are getting content to fix their racial identity and rebuild then Worgen deserve the same.
If the Forsaken don’t need the Alliance to help them with their racial identity or their rebuilding why do the Worgen need Horde assistance?
Let the Alliance take back what is theirs and let them rebuild on their own. Involving the Horde would just break things further.
Going in and killing the Horde is involving the Horde. The Horde are involved in this no matter what as they have control of Gilneas. The only solution that doesn’t spark another war is the forsaken giving Gilneas back.
Maybe for once in warcrafts history its the Horde that decides to not keep fighting despite a gross injustice like a treaty being broken.
…we’re all still paying them money, aren’t we?
They really did the Horde dirty.
All they have to do now is rename them as the Red Alliance.
Who wanted what? I wanted a “Dark Lady”, be it Sylvanas, Lilian Voss or otherwise. Not whatever Calia is.
No, it’s NOT a problem.
Yeah, that’s the issue. Characters we can idolize are FINE. I’m just not convinced by Calia.
A very blursed name, indeed.
The novel was fine, and whatever was bad, was due to narrative constraints. Golden did a good job with the things she was given.
Hail to the Desolate Council! Lordaeron belongs to the Forsaken, now and forever!
There is war. And it will not end until Forsaken control the entire north. I reject peace and I want the alliance dead. That is my goal.
See Genn. The alliance DID help. Swallow your pride.
Hail to Sylvanas! May the Horde council be killed!
