I’m a cake guy because I don’t know many people who can get pie crust right (protip: use ice water and cold butter - the whole point is to get the butter to melt DURING the bake to make the crust nice and flaky).

But yeah like a hot apple pie with some ice cream or custard is like a top tier; in fact even after saying that I’m going to buy some tomorrow
However I once had this mousse cake and it was the best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth

I’ve always liked pie more.
Cake is too… “cakey.” It has always reminded me of sweet bread, or something. It seems kind of “heavy.”
A Pie can be mainly fruit, but still a “pie.”
I’m a weirdo, liking warm apple pie with a scoop of cottage cheese on top (surprisingly good.)

Pie of course! My favorites are apple and cherry. There used to be a place in Wilcox, AZ that made the best apple pie. They were huge and delicious, its since changed ownership and while the pies are still great its not the same.
What crust is mAde entirely of butter and water. The hell?
