Greetings everyone! I hope you all are doing well on this fair day wherever you may be and are enjoying yourselves to the fullest! I apologize for the long post but I believe it is imperative that we provide as much information as we can without bombarding you with pointless stuff about us so please bear with it! With Crucible of Storms now fresh in everyone’s minds, my awesome friend and I have decided to answer the call to arms and return to the fight! So as we grab our old muskets off of our mantles, sit back and hopefully enjoy reading some awesome things about us :D!
About Us:
If you made it past the intro then you must have some interest in us right?! First I am Kenneth The Boomkin, on the verge of completing my Masters studies and living life to the fullest with my sidekick Oreo, the Rabbit. My comrade is Wendy, a beast in animation/design and the one true heir of Gondor. When we are not busy slaying our bills in the actual world you can find us slaying internet bosses and handing out free sushi to people! Some other interests include painting, surfing, sleeping, and eating tons of food. Essentially, we aspire to be top U.S. players who find ourselves trapped in Heroic Pugging shells. While our raid experience differ from each other and don’t have the shiny achievements that most established guilds have, we make up for it by our dedication and passion for the game and raiding. This can be seen through from our constant theorycrafting runs in Heroic BoD which combined total over 500 groups, to our own individual investment of our time to bettering not only ourselves, but the raid team as a whole in all aspects whether raid psychology or being a good friend. Together we always put 110% of ourselves through the amount of time, commitment, and energy in everything we do and believe with a group of people with the same mentality could open a door of endless possibilities for progression raiding. We haven’t been in many guilds due to our unwavering commitment and bonds that were formed but ultimately have always left due to players burning out and the guild eventually dying. In addition, we have also held various officer positions such as Recruitment Officer and Raid Leader. Along with personal feats we also strive to bettering the community by doing anything from class coaching to daily public full clear runs since OpenRaid has sadly disappeared. Even though we can’t 2m Mythic BoD, we have personally continued to excel at our respective classes and eagerly await the chance to be a part of a team once again to have the hard work we put in pay off. Our pre/post collegiate sports and professional business career accolades can be translated to our mentality of not only raiding, but the game as well. Our success and cake driven mentality has led us to a great deal of success in the actual world and we wish to funnel that into our new guild! It is our hope that we can translate the same unwavering mentality and passion to achieving our fullest potential in raiding, we just need someone to provide us with an opportunity to further grow and learn as not only players, but people as well. Outside of WoW we have also excelled in other games such as Overwatch, Hearthstone, Counterstrike Go, Heroes of the Storm, and many more on the competitive scene along with going to many conventions with friends and cosplaying! Our PCs are top of the line and our internet won’t dc us every 10 seconds as well. So far in BFA, we took a more lenient approach to raiding while we handled our irl jobs. However, wiping in pugs for months on end, we realized that raiding with like-minded people wanting to not only clear Mythic, but to forge those long term relationships is what we want most out of the game, and we are back with the passion and dedication required to push content and advance into the future with a new family!
What We’re Looking For:
If you made it through that long winded post then woo! What we’re looking for is simple. A raiding guild that is welcoming with fellowship, awesome people, timely progression, and doesn’t obsess on logs 24/7. Most guilds we’ve seen these days have evolved into places where there are cliques, people just log on to raid, then don’t even log back on until next raid day while they bash people for not having a high enough parse or meaningless Raider IO score. To us that’s not what a guild is but rather it is a community where friends come together to help not only each other but the entire gaming community as a whole. While we are still looking for fun and camaraderie, we are looking for a mythic progression guild where not just the team, but the guild has the dedication, passion, and mentality for full clearing through the content in a timely fashion while also fostering the environment that allows us to enjoy an escape from life. It’s not fun to us if we’re putting in 110% effort both in the game and out, and then others are not reciprocating in kind. In addition, spending months on the same bosses isn’t fun, and having the mentality to clear within a reasonable amount of time so we can relax until the next tier is a goal. From talking to friends and experiencing the content shifts ourselves, it is apparent that raiding smarter not longer is the norm with many guilds clearing content on a 3-day schedule with just 1 character and the time of 6-7 days with 3+ alts are no longer the standard. We prefer to stay with our roots and play Alliance but we are also not entirely opposed to going horde for the right guild. Our raid times right now can be anytime but prefer 2 days a week later at night (We are EST as well). The reasoning is due to us having lives and not being able to dedicate as much time to top U.S. Progression, but also because the content has gotten repetitious with the rehashing of the same mechanics. While raiding is still a challenge of synergy and teamwork, it is not the same monster it used to be and has been proven to be clearable in a timely fashion at 2 nights of raiding if everyone has that “hive mind” mentality.
Conclusion:
You made it to the bottom wooooooo! In conclusion we are just two awesome peoples looking for a home again. We haven’t had it in a while and would love to be a part of something bigger than ourselves again. We can provide logs and most recent gameplay footage of random pug runs in Heroic Uldir and BoD as well along with a speed test and in depth computer specs/setup.
