By posting here, you automatically care more about pvp than blizzard

I see many posts by people wanting pvp to be better. Daily. And we get nothing in return. No communication, no changes, zero. The players are more passionate about this game than I think the devs are no joke

It has been like this for some time, sadly. I mean the famous “dont you guys have cell phones” during blizzcon sealed that deal. Or you will get the we hear you…annnnnnd nothing happens ORRRRR you get something completely stupid and unrelated to what you been asking them to do.

I mean there has been more communication recently and more balance changes. The unfortunate thing is there are major issues with RSS and there is silence mostly because of the timing of the holidays.

“You think you do, but you don’t”
Time to do a complete work around here, customers want our decade old models more than this new one.
How the…?
Super humbling moment, I bet. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Ya but you have to admit it’s mostly a nostalgia thing. The “good ol’ days” attitude. But especially in Wrath all the issues the old games had are coming up. Finding groups has been a major complaint recently even on the big servers.

I agree, but at the same time. That comment/meme was so far out of touch with the desires of our players. Solid gold moment right there.

Ya for sure, people definitely wanted it that wasn’t a question. The numbers showed that for sure lol.

Actually i think its more accurate to say theyve mastered the art of taking feedback and eiter misinterpreting it. Or unfortunately taking it literally.

Blizzard DOES listen to feedback. The problem is they seem compelled to reinvent the wheel at any possible opprtunity.

They cant simply return a button. It has to be revamped. They cant return a cooldown reset, but thryll add extra charges where none existed. They will do vendors, but removed true pvp gear sets. Etc. Etc.

What’re you complaining about exactly?

They’ve made like 3 patches of changes before the season started and are actively making changes moreso than any other expansion just in the first month alone.

Not to mention, the expansion itself with system changes.
You’re able to level anyway you want to, because when you get to level 70 you can just buy 398 gear to enter yourself in PvP. Gear to 411 in about 2-4 hours (given your winrate + comp stomp this week). World PvP quests and gear that’s almost onpar with conquest gear (if not better depending on your seconday stat prio).

Not sure what you mean by

Wow, this post actually made it onto my monitor and into my brain.

Blizzard just can’t win, hey?

Example?

So literally no difference? Or am I taking that too literally?

What is a ‘true pvp gear set’ by your definition?
You’ll be getting tier on the 26th and the game isn’t unplayable rn without them.

Cold blood has been removed and returned under 3 different iterations or so. Do you want multiple examples or are you just incapable of understanding this games history without reference? Do you lack knowledge regarding the history of wow and it’s patches? Where am I starting with you?

It’s a massive difference. How do you not understand the difference between a cooldown to reset cooldowns and removing that cooldown, to add charges to the cooldowns it would reset?

It removes complexity, in that you can misuse or inefficiently press the cooldown. For example, if you cold snap to ice block but hadn’t use Veins, Wele, Deep, Nova, Barrier, etc. You’d lose value. Cold snap ironically the only CD reset still available that I can think of.

PvP gear sets that have zero merit in PvE. Not a multi-funcitonal set that can be used in any scenario.

The PvP set this expansion is the world pvp set, which is disabled in ranked pvp.

Our trinket set bonus is nice. It’s a good step in the right direction. But removing the body set to be replaced with a universal tier is poor choice IMO.

Again, like I said. Blizzard does listen to feedback. They just seem compelled to reiterate on things rather than simply return them.

They make good & bad choices. But they never take the most simple route of simply admitting they were wrong and reverting.

No, it was a serious question.

You consciously come onto these forums, post 9062 times and can’t provide examples, then complain when feedback isn’t taken seriously. Just actually trying to gauge your logic here and I’ve found the disconnect between rationality and you’re point of view.

So there’s actually nothing wrong rn? Rogues in a good spot. lets complain though, best way to get your forum post count up!

again, a serious question, but cdr is bad for the game. Shadowlands was a really good highlight for that. Cooldowns mean something more than with CDR.

So? How is this bad? What don’t you like about it other than it working in a different content?

so there’s something unique for world pvp?

you’ll still get a tier set.

I wouldn’t blame them. If people post like yourself or how OP did, they have literally no information to digest or help them translate anything else.

finally, a good expansion since legion and we’re still complaining without substance until it’s probed.

I’m not complaining feedback isn’t being taken seriously. I’m arguing that feedback is taken seriously. They just for whatever reason tend to disagree that it’s as simple or literal as a 1:1 suggestion, and that they’re more likely to reiterate on the aspect of the game that’s being complained about rather than revert the change that caused the complaint.

There’s plenty wrong with rogue, and the current game. But I’m not currently complaining about anything as general or specific as that.

I agree. Which is why I prefer Cooldowns that Reset cooldowns rather than multiple charges that are usually subject to CDR. for example modern Shadow Dance.

It tends to end up with bland set bonus’ that are too generally aplicable to be useful outside of doing something like more damage or more healing. Rather than fixing a specific issue a class has.

These tier sets just make us better at what we’re already doing. It just feels like a wasted opportunity for another dial they could tune and adjust to help balance.

Yes I do like the wpvp set. I do happen to enjoy and dislike different aspects of the same system.

Generally I agree.

Sorry if I came off as rude in my first reply. As you noticed, i’m 9000 posts in and don’t want to rise to bait if i can avoid it, which your reply seemed like but I wasn’t sure.

I’m genuinely passionate about wow. And I love to discus it.

Erm. What is one expecting go hear from Blizzard on the bg forums?

An ounce of rationality fixes your PoV.
Everybody will have a complaint. Whilst you’re a rogue, biased to wanting to have prep back, people play against it think it’s toxic and bad for the game, removing an idea of CD management.

That’s just an example too. When you complain, there’s going to be people on the other side of the fence hence you’re not going to get your way how you want it and when you want it.

Then by all means, elaborate. Threads that started off like this don’t provide anything. It’s just a baby crying to cry.

CDR is bad, in all interations. A Cooldown should have it’s cooldown. It should be managed.

That’s the point of a set bonus. It’s power progression, not a design fix. We have general class design for that.

Why would you want a set bonus that fixes a classes fluidity because it’s not designed well, instead of just desiging it well, and having a tier to move towards that provides you a progressive power spike.

That actually seems backwards.

My guesses are,

-party sync 70s with full talent trees in 61-69 bracket (i think thats what the complaints are?)
-shuffle queues too long
-removing conquest gear from bgs/some form of honor gear scaling
-something something premades
-new bg maps/blacklisting

None of those will be addressed.
Talent Trees on Party Shrimp will be a Stealth adjustment, if it ever happens.

RSS + Class Tuning will most likely happen on the 9th, which will not be on this forum.
The RSS leaver trick should have been adjusted before it even began, way too easily predicted.

Happy New Year!
