Bwonsamdi is a coward

Decided to check around on PTR today, and was looking through the fight mechanics of Rastakhan's fight, and I came across this neat tidbit of the fight

"Once Bwonsamdi is taken to 50% he abandons Rasktahan and teleports all players in the death realm to the realm of the living to finish the fight with Rastakhan."

Wow. That has some major lore implications. Imagine the Zandalari found out that this "Loa of Kings" abandoned the King in his time of need. Imagine Talanji found out. Could this be what starts the process of Talanji discovering her soul is bound to Bwonsamdi without her consent?

Interesting implications here. Discuss your thoughts and what you think can come from this.
bwonsamdi isn't the loa of kings and has no real loyalty, he literally make a deal for his convenience.

and i don't think that is cowardly...
Gonna need moer context. Is there a video of the fight yet to show what he says when leaving?
Rastakhan is beholden to Bwonsamdi, not the other way around.

No video yet, just what we see here.

As well to the other posters, I’m not arguing the morality about this or what not. I’m simply saying this opens doors for the Zandalari, including Talanji, to start seriously questioning Bwonsamdi.
They've always known that he was sketchy, always making deals. He is completely being in-character during that fight.
He made a bargain. If he satisfied the bargain, he abandoned the king to his fate. And in doing so, gains the soul of the king pledged to him.

He's a death loa, not a Naaru. Bargain well.
Venat he is not. Kind of expect that of him though, what reason does he have to die for a mortal king? He cares about souls and power, not people.

From what I could tell most of the Zandalari have taken the approach of not bargaining with Bwonsamdi at all because of how untrustworthy he is and how one sided his deals are. They know he's the proverbial devil.

I don’t think this will surprise any of them, dude. At all.

He's not bound to rules like Helya is clearly! Whatever bound Helya to following her own contract with us is an interesting mystery considering how powerful it is!
Also it was Loa Magic alone that was keeping Rasta alive.

I don't see Bwonsamdi providing life for him for the better part of a Century like Rezan did anyway.
I mean he is literally there fighting for the King. He left because the fight wasn’t going in his favor. I don’t think any Zandalari would be surprised by Bwonsamdi doing something like that. Rastakhan serves Bwonsamdi. Not the other way around.

I think he's bound to honouring his deals same as any other being of his kind. He just twists the meaning of the deals he makes to his advantage. Like that troll woman he gave immortality to that sacrificed her daughter for it. He gave her immortality, but that never said anything about him putting the daughters spirit where the PC could find it and lead them to her where they would fight to the death.
Yeah, no self-respecting troll is going to be at all shocked by this, and Rastakhan is going to go down in history as a cautionary tale of why, exactly, you never try to bargain with Bwonsamdi from a position of weakness and fear.

Only repeating what's already been said, but yeah: Rastakhan serves Bwonsamdi, not the other way around. Any sensible troll would have looked at that whole situation and thought "Yeah that's about right".
As the literal embodiment of death itself, Bwonsamdi preserving himself is far more important than preserving Rastakhan.

We must not speak of the corner here.
Don't lump me in with bault
Bwon didn't heroically sacrifice himself for his minions? I guess that means he's not Alliance.
