World of Warcraft causes a buzzing noise in my speakers when running at high frame rates.
Given that I use a Gsync 165hz monitor and my hardware easily runs wow at high refresh rates turning on Vsync or capping the FPS really is not an ideal solution.
This problem is incredibly frustrating as WoW is the only game I experience it with and often play with the game sounds muted in order to listen to something else which exacerbates the issue.
Any help is appreciated
You need to get yourself a shielded cable, or check to make sure the cable running from the GPU to the monitor is completely away from any other wires.
What kind of cable are you currently using?
Displayport for graphics, and just a standard 3.5mm cable coming out of my speakers.
I managed to resolve the issue by switching what jack my speakers were plugged into. I prefer using the one at the front since it makes toggling from speakers to headphones a lot easier but it’ll work for now.
Its still really weird that WoW is the only game that I experience this with
