Sorry but… D2 remastered actually looks like a lot of fun. If they can just make it a visually-updated version of the old game, without crapping out a pile of WC3: Remastered-like dung, I should be entertained for a good… 2-3 months!

Nope. These things have always happened and will always happen. Regardless of what is being worked on.
We are trying to rekindle our love for playing games. Some of us have lost it and want it back…and there is nothing out there to tickle our fancy.

I do understand what your saying but people have been able to play all of wows expansions for free for 12 years and Diablo 2 has been available for console and pc ever since it was released. Now these companies are getting full price for decades old games this is holding us all back. The release of TBC is the whole reason 9.1 hasn’t been released. It’s incredibly naive to think otherwise.
I don’t even blame Blizzard or any company for doing this because people are clearly willing to buy these games.

Meh in TBC’s case I’m hoping they see how successful TBC and Wrath become and somehow identify and extract the good parts and inject them into retail so that I can play new stuff.

I agree with your point however it’s highly likely they will just keep releasing WoWs older expansions indefinitely.

Or maybe just make a new MMORPG… since it’s probably impossible to ‘pull back’ WoW in the manner that would be necessary to make it, well, an MMORPG again.

I don’t remember Diablo 2 ever being released on console.
What’s hilarious to me is you could of been playing Diablo 2 for the last 15 years. The remaster is almost entirely the same game with some mediocre new graphics.
You might be right, but I don’t think they’d ever make a new MMORPG, especially a Warcraft themed one. We’re too invested in this game and it’d be a waste to throw all those sentiments away.
I confused it with Diablo 1. But in my defense literally any modern computer can run Diablo 2.

It doesn’t look good. I’m just trying to understand why you are so upset about a development studio that was acquired in January, that has been working on D2 remaster since before Jan… and who’s only projects ever have been remastering games for the modern era…
To say that d2 is taking resources from Warcraft development is not only wrong… it’s just a flat out lie.
It’s the same thing they are both old games that have been widely available for over a decade. It blows my mind people keep paying full price for these games.

This is one of my alts so I can respond to everyone.
I’m not upset I’m disappointed. This is why we don’t get new games cause it’s good business to keep releasing the same old games with minor upgrades if people are willing to pay full price for them again and again. How many flipping versions of a Skyrim have people purchased, even kingdoms of Amalur got a remaster.
